"Gilden-Fire" Extra Copy ... Who wants it??

Hey folks ... how's everyone doing? Man, I haven't been around here for quite awhile, but I just stumbled upon a copy of the rare SRD's illustrated " Gilden-Fire " book at a local used bookstore, mis-shelved and collecting dust. It's in really nice shape, with the dust-jacket in good condi...

Greetings from Australia!!

Hello everyone! Well, it's been a super-busy first few days here in the Land Down-Under! My girlfriend and I are having a wonderful time together ... and I can already tell that I'm going to have a tough time saying goodbye (again) when my trip is over. In the meantime we are taking in as much as we...

I'll let you know when I recieve my final grade for the course!

Wish Me Luck ...

Since I work full-time as a Machinist and can't attend regular classes during the week, I am considered to be a "mature, part-time student" and as such I am forced to take the condensed 3-hour Saturday classes at my local university (University of Regina) in order to work towards my dream ...

Hmm, wonder about primates though. Do you think those can "hate"? Good point. I'm sure some of their behaviour indicates a large array of emotions (as we know them), but how can we really know without the benefit of a common mode of communication? It's a shame really ... I'd bet primates ...

Re: The Food Industry as Dr. Evil

So... do you believe this is a serious problem? If so, what can we as consumers do to change the food industry's attitude? Or is this a run-away freight train with no brakes? Is it too late to alter global methods of food production? Do most consumers care enough to try? Consider the poll responses...

I'm of the opinion that it's simply the "bottom-line" of movies such as LotR and the Harry Potter series that is drawing the film industry to take notice of the fantasy genre. Nothing more. Having said that, I think a majority (but not all) of the fantasy-based films to come out in the nex...

The way I see it is that we are, after all, animals ... and we have primal instincts which we utilize everyday in order to survive (most of those instincts are rather subtle, others are very apparent). I think we can agree that it's been like that since the dawn of man, right? Well ... hate is painf...

Albeit morally questionable, hate is far more powerful than love. Hate lurks around every turn, in every man and every beast. It knows no boundaries, considers none but itself and left unchecked, it will spare no one. Hate is legion. It is easy for one to hate, because it comes so naturally to us al...

But I'm so far behind on all the books I want to read, that I'll never get to all of them even once. So I can't afford the time to re-read books. I'm in the same boat, Roland ... so many great books, so precious little time to read them all. At the pace I am going ... I doubt I'll get to read even ...
