Don't think so
I think that Mhoram would be wise enough not to use the Earthblood in any way. Elena was flawed, it is true, but Mhoram knew enough that any wish could hurt the land.

Living?
And then the Ravers are given the ability to inhabit non-living things? The rock itself, the grass, the Earthpower becomes theirs for the taking. It wouldn't do much good, that's for sure. But here's a question: What if a command made by the Earthblood contradicted one made in the past?

Whoever said that Kevin had centuries more of lore, Kevin happens to be Berek's descendant... just thought I'd let you know.

The simple life
Only the most simple of desires could be granted without severe consequences. Say you wanted a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I'm sure that would cause no damage. If I had to choose a command, I would have the Earthblood lose its power, so no other would succumb to its tempting betrayal.

Too Far??
Don't read too far into the book's description. Just their pure mannerisms tell us that the Ravers are indeed male. The way they talk and act just cannot be female. It's too...can't think of a word right now, but they sure as hell did not act in the least bit feminine. Their pure rage and hatred is ...

Kevin or Berek
I would have to say Berek. The book did say that Kevin was the most powerful, but he fell to despair, while Berek stood strong. I think Berek would win in pure strength of will.

Ravers
The Ravers are indeed men, and I think that there are no female ravers because SRD felt that men would be more frightening and better suit his needs. As a compliment to all females, I think that females would not fit such a menacing role, one that required bloodthirstiness and hatred.

Keep Truckin'
I didn't like the idea either. At first. All SRD is doing is building up. ALL good authors do. It seems hopeless for our heroes, and then... Just keep reading. I'm sure you'll like the ending as much as I did. You can't stop just because Covenant seems powerless. That's just lame. It's like reading ...
