Chilling...how you put your heart into words...nice. As I walk through the shadows of despair and remorse, your call beckons me on, though to hear it makes my blood run cold... As if all of eternity's pain and suffering waits for me beyond the shroud of darkness that lies ahead of me in the distance...

I think that she is Susie Thurston.

(I had to put this name in there...this is probably about the only thread that she hasn't yet graced our presence in.)

The 'Haunted Tours' down here are really cool. You go in to them realizing that it is just a tourist type of thing, but you really get a lot of history of the city's past...stuff that I as a New Orleans native didn't even know. And the cemetaries are pretty cool, too...all of the tombs are above gro...

Cate / Jem

From what Ihave read from both of you I have renewed inspiration. Places in my heart that have been closed before are now seeming to open before me.

And, no...this does not have to end yet.

Ya know...I go back and read what I have written over the years, and it seems like I can never reopen that place inside of me where my ideas and writings have come from. It is hard for me to imagine what must have been going on in my life at the time that made me write some of these things. Yes, the...

Well...let me chime in on this thread, as well. My real name is Stephen Allange. I live in LaPlace, Louisiana, which is in the swamps about 30 miles west of New Orleans. I am 38 years old and married with two boys (a 4 year old and a 3 month old). I started reading SRD back around 1982 or so. Can't ...

Crossroads

Crossroads As I look to the future, and what lies before me, I look to the past, and remember where I have been, memories from the past... Shadows down long corridors of time left alone, the ageless passing of memories and thoughts sustained by the unconscious willpower to let them fade into oblivio...

Mardi Gras 2005...will you be here?

Well, Mardi Gras Day is Tuesday, 2/8. The festivities are already underway, and there will be one crazy weekend down here in New Orleans coming up. Any fellow watch members heading this way for the party?

Jelerak is a name from a character of Roger Zelazny's book Madwand. This was from way back in 1982 or so. I thought that it was a cool name then, and I have used it in all of my RPG days as a character. So when I needed a name here, it just was the natural progression.

Thanks Cate...

It is just that you & Jem write so much from the heart, where mine seems like it is so much from the soul. If I could only combine the two.

It is just hard for me to lay my heart open like that on paper, too many past hurts come to mind.

All Alone

All Alone The sound of laughter, The euphoria of joy, How hollow they must be When she's all alone The flow of tears, The gloom of sadness, How dreadful they must be, When she's all alone Black moods come upon her, All emotions cut off from within, How desperate she must be, When she's all alone The...

The Mirror Cracked

The Mirror Cracked The mirror cracked, and fell to the ground A thousand shattered pieces lying at my feet Broken glass, to match my soul Shattered images, A lonely, breathless heartbeat A fractured hand, to match my spirit A desperate cry for help as my blood drops to the floor The mirror cracked, ...
