To Thine Heart Thy Blade

To Thine Heart Thy Blade Like a fragile rose, she'll stick you with her thorn As a wounded love, transfixed with scorn She'll let you close, then back away To start the chase on another day Trapped in her spell, she calls you close You must obey her silent ghost She reminds you of days gone by, When...

The Gap series is the only sci-fi that I have ever read. I read it book by book as they were released. I cannot put into words how much I loved these books. I read them cuz SRD wrote them. Reading this thread has made me ever so thankful that I have no background in science, or no other sci-fi serie...

I believe that it is the religious groups intent to keep promoting the fear of the 'end of the world'. Their benefit is that by keeping everyone afraid, it will keep them tighter in their grasps, and maybe bring a few more sheep into the fold. After all, the more members of the congregation, the mor...

OK guys...kind of on topic...check it out. Chaos and order, war and hate What kind of god has wrought this fate Eternal sin created by one so divine, Has damned our race to the end of time This world created by one god's thought, What kind of doom has this god wrought? This world was flooded in a bl...

Easy...proof. Actual proof. Something substantial and tangible. Show me and I will believe.

I want to believe...honestly...I just need something that I know to be true.

I think of American Indians as the perfect fit for the Ramen. As for the Haruchai...I hate to see them stereotyped as Asian / Oriental just due to the fact of their hand-to-hand combat skills. I tend to think of the Haruchai as more like a specialized military force, like Navy Seals, Rangers or Gree...

Yes, I do 'deny' Christ's miracles. But the point of this little conversation is that it started with the question of if we would believe JC to be who he is if he did come back to this world. So, therefore an 'undeniable' miracle is one of the things that I stated would be a way to distinguish JC fr...

He did not exactly make it disappear now, did he? I don't think that undeniable miracles can be compared to sharlatan tricks. Now, if David Copperfield could do something like...uhhh...make Star Jones disappear, then the world would be a better place, and I may be a believer, as well. We will never ...

You don't think that his turning water into wine had anything to do with his validation as the son of God?

I don't think that there will be a problem in people taking him seriously. Unless he tries to authenticate his identity through words and sermons. Haven't we seen that enough???

Just show a few miracles...that would be sufficient authentication.
