Vindication (a poem / song)

And yet another one for ya'll to check out. Sorry if I have been bombarding you with these the last few days or so, but I have never had a forum among my peers to share my writings with. And to be sharing my writings with people who have such similar interests as myself (or else why would we all be ...

What about the free will of the innocent people affected?

Where is their protection from their god? Shouldn't they have a right of choice not to be murdered, tortured, raped or molested?

Kym...in response to what 'turned' me off of Christianity, well, I went to a Baptist high school for 4 years, and was basically force fed to me what was right and what was wrong. I was pretty much brain washed like they wanted, but when I graduated, I came to my senses and started thinking for mysel...

My first Piers Anthony book was Thousandstar. I don't think that i have ever heard of it since. It was my first sci-fi book that i have ever read. After that, I deceided to get A Spell for Chameleon. I stuck with the Xanth books quite a ways, probably longer than I should have. It just got a little ...

Beyond Death's Call (a poem / song)

Another one that I just submitted to the anthology. ******************* Beyond Death's Call The night is filled with evil, Blackened hate is in the air Sacrificial bodies glisten, To the alter of Death they stare The time is now nigh, This Death you will not die The tears of the damned shall cleanse...

Epitath (a poem)

I just submitted this one to the anthology. ************** Epitath Death, I welcome thee. Take me in thy cold, yet loving embrace. My mortal feet leave my soul trapped on this earth as others fly above, or sink below. Life, I despise thee. Release me from thy cold and spiteful grasp. You confine my ...

Most Annoying / Favorite TV Commercials

Any of you who are subjected to the constant barrage of TV commercials know that there are a few that just are gut-wrenching to sit through. There are, however, a few that are worth watching. Ones that currently has me grabbing for the remote EVERY time that they are on are the prescription drug adv...

You think of Andelain everytime you hear the tune on the commercial for the Rogers & Hammerstein collection from 'The Sound of Music' that goes 'the hills are alive with the sound of music.'

(Those of you with kids know well that on Toon Disney, you cannot get away from this commercial.)

Great post LF... Nerf bat...baseball or winged variety? For me...existance of God comes down to a personal experience. I want to believe...I really do, but I need something substantial, tangible. If even I had an experience with a ghost, that would change everything that I believe. For if ghosts wer...

So who's right? This to me is an important question. The Christians have their god. The Hindu have theirs. The Muslims theirs. And so on. So whose god will ultimately be there for them when they pass to the other side? What will happen to the believers of their religion at their death if they were w...

Nightfall (a poem)

Hello all. This is my first contribution to this forum. I hope that you enjoy this one. Nightfall, The evening drawing near... As the last rays of sunlight give way to dreams of fear. Nightfall, When children go to bed. And pray to their gods that they will not wake up dead. Nightfall, When I awaken...
