What he said....Damelon wrote:My own preference, if it was a prequel, would be three books involving the Old Lords. First book on Berek. Second book on Damelon Giantfriend and Loric Vilesilencer, and the third book on Kevin Landwaster.

Lets see...I believe I was 13/14 for my first reading of the 1st Chrons. (Jr. High) I'm not really sure with the 2nd. Probably around the same time or when I was in High School. I don't remember it because I didn't get it. Still kind of don't. But patiently waiting for our group read, so y'all can c...

LOL Sky! Why yes, you are correct...why put a cap on one's fantasy? With that in mind, I'd like a mirror that showed Lattes and Cookies...my two favorite vices... Then I could have them any time I wanted...but then again I'd turn into a big woman that was always awake...hmmm maybe I should re...

Boy, such interesting ideas...my mind's all a buzz... I'd like to see the land be returned to it's original grandure. I'd like to see how the Bloodguard carried on. I'd like to see the Land rededicate themselves to finding Kevin's Lore. Return of the Giants, Ranyhim (sp?), and characters like Mhoram...

Hmmm ... interesting concepts.... I thought that mirrors mostly showed naturally occuring things. Alien creatures in their own environments and such. I don't remember any showing just items. Could be something that the Congery should study. I wouldn't mind a flat glass that had a small deserted isla...

Ok Danlo, I'm following your lead. I have been stuck for something to read, because I don't want to read too far ahead with the TCTC dissection, and I don't want to start reading MN again. (With the threat of a group read for that in the air.) So I ordered the Neverness books on Half.com. I got the ...

First of all, I'd love to be your friend. I never get books as gifts and if I do it's usually fluff. ((plus I need a new set of the chronicles so bad it isn't funny - )) I got in to the series after my mom read them. There was a time in my family when books got passed around a lot. Usually Mo...

For me it's just about everything in LFB. I just fell in love with the Land and it's people. The rest of the chronicles (1st and 2nd) have the land falling from or struggling to get back to that place. I really missed the Land as we knew it in LFB in the second chronicles. I hope that SRD brings us ...

Which Mirror Would You Want?
I was thinking of the different mirrors and how the were used...just wondering if you could have a mirror, what would you want and how would you use it? I'd like that mirror that Havelock used that just had water in it. It drowned a translated monster, and just turned fire and lazer beams into steam...

Off all the times I've read this series, these chapters always stand out in my mind. I think it's because it's the first time we really see how horrible LF's manipulations are. The buring of the tree has always really gotten to me. Just the image of a tree big enough to house a whole villiage is aws...

Hey MacNik, Welcome on board :) You know I had never thought of Anthony Hopkins...good pull. I think he could do Joyse but don't see Havelock. Sorry but my brain is stuck on Jude Law...??? What has he been in? Like Ryan Phillipe but not sure for Geraden....he's a little to pretty for how I pictured ...

Welcome James! You bring up a really good point about SRD and how sex is used in his stories. I never quite put it together that it's a common theme in his stories. Maybe he uses it because it's the ultimate violation. SRD doesn't do things in half measures. Maybe it's just the most dramatic/effecti...
