Sorry, I really didn't mean to post that so many times! I left town the next day so I just found out that that happened. I guess I can't delete the extra posts after someone has replied. Sorry!! I kept re-submitting it because It was saying that the mail server had failed. I had no idea it was colle...

Yeah, I have never really understood WHY the Elohim were so opposed to Vain. Did they think that Linden did not NEED the staff to heal the Land? Why did they ignore him when they first got to Elmensedene? And why did they try to keep him there? I guess I always thought that some of the elohim wante...

Well, at least I am not alone in my geekiness... I just hope that SRD doesn't read this and shake his head thinking we are all nuts!

Or do you think he finds it flattering?

I'm a complete geek

okay, let's see if anyone is a bigger geek than me... My wedding ring (big diamond, etc.) was in need of repair, so I decided to get a small, nondescript ring to wear to work. Of course, what could I possibly choose- I could have gotten yellow gold, or even platinum, but what do YOU think I picked!!...

Yep, there's something merciless in the hard New Mexican water. Plutonium or all the blood Onate spilled, or both? :P You mean about my love of viciously cruel stories? Probably so, it's the hispanic blood- torture just makes sense. My problem with the Martin story is that, so far, I have only foun...

My name is Vickie Averhoff, and I am a veterinarian. I am 37 years old, my husband Jeff and I have 2 kids, ages 4 and 6. I live in Albuquerque, NM, and I have been a fan of SRD since I first read his books in high school. I was able to meet Mr. Donaldson when I was in high school and he signed my bo...

I have one of Martin's books- A Game of Thrones- someone told me it was really good. I started to read it, and I got stuck at about page 175. The things that were happening were so cruel and horrible that I couldn't go on. Of course, I had the same problem with the Covenant novels at first after Len...

Oh so now you're refering to me as old...well...hope to see you both there! 8) No!! I have no idea how old YOU are!! I just meant that I was afraid everyone there would be younger than me! Nothing makes you feel old like being around a bunch of eighteen year old kids!! Of course, if everyone is old...

I think I'm going to have to drag my hubby to bubonicon this year. I've never been to it- I'm afraid it's going to make me feel old.

I got a call from my dad that he might be able to get SRD to sign my new book for me- If I get to meet him again I may get my "fix" and not need to go....

Wow! I didn't expect such a flood of replies to my first post! I guess I like the theory of it being another covenant from the past... Also, remember the other warnings to beware of the halfhand? Which halfhand do you think is the problem? Let's see, there's Covenant, Jeremiah, and at least 3 haruch...

Do I know you

Well, Albuquerque isn't exactly a small town, but it is possible that we have crossed paths at the Duke City Bridge Club. My Dad directs a lot of games there, though I have never learned to play.

Ending of Runes

Hi, I'm new here, so I'm not sure if this has been discussed or not. I'm just curious, for everyone who has already read Runes, how many of you think that the person Linden Avery sees riding toward Revelstone is really Covenant? I mean, he told her several times not to trust him, and that to remembe...

Hi, I am new here, and I have had the privelege of meeting the man himself. He played bridge with my father back when I was in high school, while he was still writing the second chronicles. He signed my copies of the first chronicles for me, which were already torn and tattered from too much reading...
