I agree its rare for a movie to do justice to the book it was based on especially a story as detailed and complicated as TCTC.

I just had another idea. What if when Linden passed through a caesure she made it possible for TC to appear in the Land? Perhaps he has been there since he died (in the real world) as a 'revenent' but was released when Linden broke the Law Of Time.
