Just finished Robin Hobb's The Dragon Keeper. Good stuff, but the original novel being split into two volumes means that this one is just one big introduction, with all the juicy stuff reserved for Dragon Haven.

Just finished S. L. Farrell's A Magic of Nightfall . The novel is a multilayered tale of politics, intrigue, religion, magic, love, and treachery. One that should not be missed. Just finished L. E. Modesitt, jr.'s Imager , the first volume in The Imager Portfolio. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that this could well be the best and most accessible opening chapter in any of his fantasy series to date.
