What's for dinner?
Fired up the grill last night for chicken thighs kissed with applewood smoke and sauced sweet-and-spicy. Served with steamed broccoli for all, plus an ear of corn for Dam-sel. It was yummy! Although I believe you skinned the thighs? I see them being rendered down for schmaltz, which we are low on, ...

Pressure Cooking
Made homemade bone meal from the spent bones after making poultry bone broth in the Instant Pot. I’m going to let it sit for about a month see if the meat smell diminishes before I use it when I transplant my tomatoes. First time trying it; we’ll see if it attracts critters to the garden bed.

Frost-hardy stuff. :D A lot of star jasmine (mostly in pots), ground and wall covers, (Uh, irish moss, creeping foxglove, some type of ivy), a bed of MR Lavender alternated with rosemary, sage, origanum, and thyme (and lemon thyme), clivia and agapanthus, and some other stuff. I dunno, I'm not a ga...

Passover Success!!
I had to get a new-to-me phone, so I was unable to post photos during Passover and Easter. First night Seder I went to CHABAD, but I prepared second night. I made both Ashkenazi and Sefardi charoses. The Askenazi consisted of apples, chopped walnuts, ground Ceylon cinnamon, and Manischewitz. The Sef...

HEY! What are you eating RIGHT NOW?!
Egg matzah first spread with salted butter. A pinch of kosher sea salt over and then Tempt-tee whipped cream cheese. Finally, half spread with homemade cranberry sauce made to go with the frogged roasted turkey made for second night Seder last week.
Loki
Just watched episode 1. I’m really happy they went with the insightful, remorseful Loki, instead of sticking with the all bravado Loki. I’m interested in seeing if Loki is truly being honest with himself, or if he’s playing mind games with Morphius. I had to stop after episode 1 to absorb all this. ...

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier
I’m surprised to not find a thread for this show. I did see the posts which mention it in the WandaVision thread, but that’s all I’ve seen. I thought Marvel handled the dilemma of African Americans being heroic “super soldiers” via the serum extremely well and with social points bluntly but tasteful...

WandaVision
Finally watched this. Like others, the opening episodes were bizarre to me, but it all came together. I loved how minor characters from the movies were brought in and given major roles. I have yet to see the newer Dr. Strange. So for now, my heart breaks for Wanda and I am seriously unhappy about th...

HEY! What are you eating RIGHT NOW?!
I don’t usually eat breakfast, but during Passover I indulge in the once-a-year “treats.” This morning I’ll make matzah meal based cream of wheat for breakfast, and finish off my piece of the banana and pear matzah brei bake I made for Easter brunch yesterday.

Passover is a week away! I pulled my turkey yesterday to defrost before dry brining for three days next week. I'm going to finally give the frog method a try. Similar to spatchcocked, which I've also never tried, but easier to do. If the weather here in the Pacific Northwet cooperates, we'll smoke t...

I paste the URL between the two generated image tags from the button, rather than typing them out, but that's all I found the image button is good for. If there's a way to resize, I'm all ears.
Although, I tend to resize on imgbb before generating the URL.
