Oh, and thanks Stevie G for posting my Facebook post here so I didn't have to deal with that. I appreciate it.

Hi folks. Thanks for being patient with me. I no longer have a laptop of my own, but my wife does and I finally have some time type and the energy to do so. i stumble a lot over the keys and have to correct and reread and try to get it out correctly. The phone seems to be a bit easier for me, but do...

Thanks for all the joy you folks are pushing at me. Sorry I have not been active on here lately. It's mainly because sitting up for very long with this frickin' hernia causes my stomach to get upset. I spend a lot of my time laying on my back these days. Not because I'm a ho, but because it is about...

Great post Cag - one that captures the ups and downs of your situation but never strays into self-pity or being maudlin for a moment. How the frick do you do that! ;) As for the writing of this, I guess I only choose to write when I have a plus side to deliver as well. As for in my life, self pity ...

Hello all. Well, it's been another little while. Due to my hernia, it's hard for me to sit up much anymore. I still am working, and that is the sitting up portion of the day. Thankfully there is precious little to do these days, although now we are expected to cut 60 hours of our time between now an...

Well, the new chemo seems to really be bringing down my kidney functions, which were just fine before, but part is a bit my fault because I can't seem to get enough water in me. I have to go in and get hydrated, and the chemo leaves me barfy, so it is hard to get the water down, at least at the leve...

Ugh....tried reviving this thread to share some of some recent joys, but after typing it all up and hitting submit, it had me log in and I lost it all. Such a waste of time. Ok, here we go again. First up is AJR. They are a band my daughter turned me onto. They have been described by others I've sha...

Sorry it has been a bit since an update. Mainly because it was this Monday that we FINALLY got back the results, and while immunotherapy unfortunately not an option (doc said I had a "bland" tumor), there is a chemo that I can take, and I took my first of it today. They say that I need to ...

I played it, and enjoyed it for what it was, as that isn't my usual favorite type of game. I started it a while back, and got very sad from it and realized I didn't need that sadness at that time, and stopped playing for a while. Then I picked it up a year or so later after everybody went on about h...

Sorry I have been so quiet since we met, Fist. Work got busy, and I was dealing with some shoulder pain that was mostly keeping me from wanting to do any additional typing than necessary. If you spotted me reaching to my shoulder several times while we talked, that was kind of the start of my week o...

Yeah, it seems I keep hearing of people I know dying, from grade school friends to high school and such, and as I am staring death in the face lately, I'm hoping for opportunities to see people that have meant a lot to me. Some have come to visit, which has been great.

My condolences.

Yep, that's amazing, Null. I've watched it so many times. If you've not seen Inside yet and you like that, I'd definitely encourage you to watch it. Especially if you like how real he got at the end of that song. The second half of the special is almost all this kind of realness.

Oh, and just want to say I saw a similar feeling movie called Promising Young Woman last night, but liked it tons more. It was a very tricky film with a main character that you have trouble with right from the start.

I hated this movie. I was certainly engrossed, but just ended up hating it because of several things, namely the final minutes of the film that was just there for revenge freaks, and several points throughout the movie where the believability went out of the window for me. I really felt like taking ...

I was mixed on the other two Disney + shows, but this was just spectacular from start to finish. I wish I would be able to see a season two. Not to whine about my cancer in yet another thread, but that's something that is really affecting me, which is my love of having something to look forward to, ...

Bo Burnham's Inside

For those who have Netflix, I highly recommend this brilliant "comedy special" that he has released recently. I am completely obsessed with it right now, and have watched it about 6 or 7 times, and often play just the songs through YouTube. If you are unfamiliar with him, you might watch t...

I'm here and realize how long it has been since I've been back to the Watch. I've been spending way too much time while working listening to AJR, a band my daughter turned me onto, and listening to podcasts and such from Marc Maron (WTF podcast), the Friendship Onion with Billy Boyd and Dominic Mona...

I have never seen so many people crapping on Star Trek. I've never been a Star Trek fan myself. I watch the Next Generation for a while because of a friend of my wife's at the time roped me in for a bit, but I got over how laughably bad some of the episodes were, and then just got over it and haven'...

As I keep going through this job, yeah, I think you are probably right. I'm just not sure how I would pay for treatment without the insurance. That's the great price of being an American. But yeah, when I'm ready to hang it up, and deal with hospice, then that will be another nasty test of my resolv...

Yeah, I love the damn cat. We are definitely sticking with her. She part of us now, and we won't give her up. She definitely likes my wife, probably because she is the one that feeds her. She tolerates me most of the time. and then she'll be all lovey for a while, and then she'll seem to hate me for...
