Covenant's eye colour
Hi all, I'm back yet again, as time has rolled around for my yearly read through the Chronicles. I have a question , hopefully, someone here will know the answer. Are we ever told in any of the books what colour are Covenant's eyes? I always think of them as 'grey' but I'm thinking I just got that f...

Hello again
I found this forum last year I think it was when I'd just finished reading the Covenant books, posted for awhile and then lost touch. I've just finished reading the first two chronicles again and found myself drawn back to the kindred spirits here :smiles: I Just finished White Gold Wielder .. and a...

What character did you hate
We all fessed up to our favorites..who did you dislike?
This is one I'm going to need to give some thought, though Findail comes to mind. He has a couple of 'moments' beyond that, he set my teeth on edge. Somehow, I can't name Foul as one my dislikes, hes just too pivotal to the story.

First and always, Covenant, for a lot of reasons, because he didn't dare believe, because he could hate and then turn away from that hate, because of his capacity to love and his need to deny it, because he was a hero in spite of himself. Hile Troy because he dared to believe. Foamfollower because h...

Is the Gap series the best sci-fi I ever read?
Oh heck no. I couldn't even get past the first book. For some reason, it was completely incomprehensible to me. I even tried again later to read it with a bit more success.. (think I read the whole first book that time) and was left with a 'what the hell was that' feeling. I have no idea why Gap mis...

hmm.. I have an unabridged LOTR on cassette (3 books on tape, nice wood box type of thing).. why not the Chronicles. I love audio books, someone to read to me when my hands and eyes are busy elsewhere... lovely, that.

flawed from birth
Triock told Covenant.. he was not to blame 'she was flawed from birth' .
That, to me, explains her part of it. Covenant's ..I've always thought of it as an extention of the lonliness of leprosy.

what is the land
In all my readings of the series it has never once occured to me to actually question the reality of the Land.
It is real to me.
Anything else would break my heart.

scenes that stick
Since they are my favorite books, I read the whole series usually once per year. As a matter of fact, I need new copies because mine are all dog-eared and written in from taking notes for the dissection thread! It never ceases to amaze me what new things I find every time I read them. I need to rep...

confession times
I must confess to having read them.. at least seven times. I tend to get really involved in the story and read too fast though. The up side, is I discover something new with each reading. I stumbled the books..maybe 12 years ago. In the end, I think SRD's world is so rich, quickly read or slowly sav...

so, so many. Right now, I've started at the beginning and re-reading so..at this moment. The laughter of Saltheart Foamfollower and his friendship to Covenant Lord Mhoram's eyes. but mostly: the achingly necessary emptiness of a leper's heart. Oh ..the vile sting Covenant feels through his boots whe...
