Interesting. Thanks all. Nice to get a "local" perspectiv on things. The media here are really afflicted by the "scare tactics" as you seem to think it is.

I'm bored. Hence my surfacing.

I honestly did not bother to read everything in here, but I WOULD like to talk about drones. What makes it worse to send an unmanned vehicle to kill someone than a manned one?

Sgt. null: We view this differently. If you provided health care for all, this would not even be a discussion. Unless of course you think that the deprivation of healtcare is supposed to be a part of the punishment? RR, the same for you: In society: can't afford a new hip? to bad. But you can "...

The term "liberal" is simply taken to mean two different things I think: In´Europe it means monetary and social liberalism with small government and free market forces with a minimum og government intereference. I haven't quite figured out why the dems in the US are called liberals to be h...

Just out of curiosity: isn't the midterms what REALLY counts? That is the election for the legislative power, if I understand correctly? And that's the election with about a 50% voter turnout innit? Edit: Zar: Correct. An attitude like that makes you think, that democracy sucks. And that the lady in...

As did I, mind you.

And it is (if possible) even less important to me ;-)

We all lull ourselves into beliving that we are better than we really are. A lie that you tell yourself grows every time you tell it. You lie by slight increments so it doesn't actually feel like a lie. Fuck his actual time. The interesting thing is that his running is even an issue.

The mere fact that a candidate would think it beneficial to flaunt his sporting achievements is saying a lot about the average american voter.

That he is (apparently) also lying only makes it pathetic.

Anders Brevak got 21 years for killing 77 people. Now granted, they were Norwegian, but I still think they count as human. Actually, with my very dark sense of humor and my national and habitual disdain for Norwegians, I find that funny. But I can't help but wonder if this would have passed as equa...
