Plus, of course, he's now with Ublala - and if Karsa is still intent on uniting all the Toblakai then I'd imagine he can't not crop up.

What I want to see is Grub, though! He was all set up to ascend or something and then suddenly, nothing.

EDIT: Nah, it's fine. :) ah! good. thanks alianthabug. :D did i? am i really the one that began it here? i don't think so, i think several of you were already on that train ...

Wow. Just wow. Read the first half quite slowly but then just went through from around 400 to the end in the last 15 hours. I'm in an airport now and was seriously trying not to lose it in front of everyone during that last battle.

I can't believe it's over though.

The first season was only 6 eps long but I think it's been confirmed for a longer second season. I'll probably watch the last two episodes of this season over Christmas, and I'm willing to give the next one a chance given that the US tends to be a bit better with longer-running dramas than UK-style ...

I picked it up on Tuesday evening, seems pretty good so far (Vash'jir is infinitely more exciting than Hyjal though, the intro sequence alone, plus Gnaws the shark and seashorses!). It's still pretty busy everywhere and I'm playing on a 2-year-old macbook, so my framerate is pretty bad at times - Hy...

Holy shit, tell me that's not real. It was the headline on Drudge yesterday. The caption below read "The terrorists have won" tbf, although I'm not happy about the scanners/invasive pat downs (and come on guys, it's not molestation. Calling it that is pretty demeaning to actual rape/moles...

So I ended up buying OSX 10.6, I guess my subconscious is serious about wanting to play this. Gonna reactivate the account tonight I think D:

Still trying to convince my friends who used to play to sign back up though :(

At that point he still had his fractured memory, right? Perhaps he was mostly afraid of having that kind of power without being in control of himself.
Or that he didn't want to let himself become too human while he knew he would still quite possibly have to kill Joan.

I had this with Eternal Sunshine, Blair Witch Project... maybe a few others, but I'd have to think about it. Requiem For A Dream was the complete opposite for me though, everyone had built it up to be the most souldestroying, bleak, depressing thing I'd ever see (and frankly that is what I'm looking...

The Gap beats the Chronicles in my opinion, at least once you reach book 3 (the first one is a prologue really, the second one gets interest, but 3-5 are just nonstop intensity). Definitely try it! And yeah, it's set in space, but like most of SRD's work it's very much character-orientated, so hey, ...

I hope there is a conclusion to this series. I'd hate for it to be cancelled at this point. This season has been great so far. I agree Somberlain, every episode has been integral to, or at least nicely placed into, the story line. I was wondering what the deal was with the Observers---they haven't ...

Well the Lords (and Triock, and possibly Atiaran) were able to do some summoning as well, so I don't think summoning Covenant counts as influencing the real world. The community of retribution was interesting, but even then, it seemed more like Foul was barely there - his image was in the fire, but ...

I understood that the caesures weren't capable of going any further forward in time than the point at which they're created (the "now" of the LC, i.e. each time Joan - or Linden - creates one). The rest of the future is discernible, to a point, but still fluid, like the Insequent and ur-vi...

Re: I've been thinking...

...that there is a major downside for Foul with the awakening of the Worm, and the Lurker is representative of that downside. This makes me think the list of bad guys will dwindle as the final book moves on, because bad and good won't be relevant - self interest and survival will be. ...anything th...

As I understand it season 1 is pretty much an exact copy of the British one, almost line for line. So I skipped that one and watched 2 and 3, which are pretty good for what they are, but then season 4 just started getting kind of stupid/soap-opera-y, and I gave up. From what I've heard it never real...

I didn't like her name either, really. I mean, the whole "you can't know her true name" thing works, and maybe some people could have referred to it occasionally, but there could have surely been another euphemistic name for her that SRD could have used in the narrative. But I do like the ...

There is one place where Stave uses a contraction while speaking (he says something like "I don't" or something like that). It was jarring. I'm certain this was unintentional. I remember noticing this, I think it was shortly after the fight with Roger and the cavewights. But I remember se...

Well after spending all weekend downloading a 5GB patch it turns out the game is broken for OSX 10.5. Which is probably for the best :(
