Either you are all as unobservant as I am when writing or you are just very polite. :) However it is completely wrong of me to say that the time would stretch to one hour. Because it is the other way around; 10 seconds of earth time would stretch to 1 hour of land time. I hate making mistakes like t...

I agree with you Sevotharte. I am just no rereading the second chronicles and the general assumption there is that in the intervening 10 years of earth time; 3500 to 4000 years have passed in the Land. This gives us a ratio of 350 to 400 in time differential. But if this were true the 10 seconds tha...

I have been greatly inspired by this board, and on saturday I started rereading the second chronicles. I am now in the middle of the One Tree, and the company is just about to enter Bhrathairain.

"And knowledge or power which is not truly purchased swiftly tarnishes. If it does not turn against the hand that holds it, it loses all value whatsoever."

Probably no challenge whatsoever, but I have no heart for searching for something difficult.

I thought the Outer Limits were some really old TV shows. :)

I bought two vhs cassettes with old episodes on them, but those were from 1963. I never thought the show were still on.

I've never been able to figure out exactly what role the Creator played in the summoning. The Lords hoped the Creator played a part in it, which gave them hope. And the Creator certainly did choose TC and LA. But what that means is beyond me. Foul also chose them. Since they're brothers, or possibl...

I like it!! I reminds me of the names of some of the dragons in Earthsea. Orm was hugely powerful. Later, there was Orm Embar and Orm Irian. I always considered the "Orm" name in Earthsea more like a title. (The norwegian word "orm" means worm or snake.) Could "Caer&...

if that holds true for the being who was first used to break the law of death, a being of such power, i think the other dead Lords would be at least as limited. But presumably this was before the breaking of the law of life? I wonder what kind of power the ancients would be capable of wielding afte...

I have no idea what most of those things are, but I kind of like chocolate. In moderate amounts. Note to you americans: norwegian chocolate has much less sugar in it than normal american (US) chocolate has thus it is possible to eat a lot more of it. :D As an aside I can tell you that here in Norway...

Subbornly posting when I have nothing to say I will just say that I cannot really remember any really funny things in the chronicles. This means that any activity is better than no activity. Because of this I feel that it would be better to always create new threads in...
