Just re-read the entire series

Over the course of the last six or seven months I re-read the entire Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. Well, read is one way of putting it. Listened would be more correct. The first time through (and the second and third for Chronicles 1 and 2) I read the entire series, and now this time, I listened to...

yeah, thanks. I have, but no seeders for most of them. I have read all the Covenant books twice, and I'm doing them again on audiobook now. I prefer Scott Brick's reading, but there doesn't seem to be any full sets around, and half the files are corrupted from what I did get (bloody Despiser at work)!

So I should accept that people think in many ways, but you can't accept the fact that people express themselves with varying levels of certainty and assertiveness? It's okay for you, a complete stranger, to instruct me to modify my behavior, but I can't criticize the beliefs of vegetarians? I'm not...

I would have thought New Zealand would be the ideal place to film such a movie. And for the same reasons LOTR was filmed there. It had nothing to do with "that's how England used to look like" it was the bredth and diversity of climates within a small as possible geographic area. It had ev...

As "nature lovers" (as some here describe the Lords) it would not make any sense whatsoever for them to be vegetarians. Vegetarianism is NOT our natural state. We evolved to be meat eaters. So abstaining from our biologically programmed eating patterns would be a DENIAL of our nature, and...

they should be all vegetarians

I reckon that the people of the Land should be vegetarians. If for no other reason than simply extending the logic of their lives. They love and respect nature, use wood and stone without damaging them - ie fire without destroying wood. They have no destructive behavious where nature is concerned wh...

Yes, but if you've read the books, you'd know they don't wear thongs, they wear heavy boots. 8O

smelly socks

Just a thought....

In WGW, both TC and LA go for weeks without having a bath. Considering they wear boots, they sure must have had smelly socks. I wonder how the Giants and Haruchai put up with them :)

In the course of the last 3 weeks, I have almost re-read both the First and Second Chronicles of Thomnas Covenant (I'm up to White Gold Wielder) for the first time in about 15 years. This will be the third time for me reading the entire series, and as far as I'm concerned it just gets better and bet...
