Hmm, I'm not sure I'd agree with your assessment there. I never got the impression that Covenant was particularly weak, in fact all the walking he did in LFB made him notably fitter. I'd say he'd be of average strength. His dexterity on the other hand would be pretty damn low, as his numb hands and ...

I'd have to go for Beth Orton, who carries an incredible amount of emotion in her voice, the funkier-than-thou Róisin Murphy of Moloko and the saccarin-sweet Sarah Cracknell of Saint Etienne

Ah, I wondered why she didn't appear with Massive Attack when I saw them the other week. She sang two songs on their new album. She was never really comfortable with her fame though, so it's hardly surprising that she's gone all Kate Bush.

How about Brinn?

I actually used to have a gerbil named Min, after Min Donner. Why I thought the iron lady's name would be a good one for a gerbil is beyond me, but she fell awkwardly in her cage one day and broke her neck.

I always figured that they suppressed their emotions so as to be better able to fulfil their vow, hence the other's reaction to Tull's outburst. It would have been seen as a breach of discipline. I did wonder whether their voices were naturally emotionless though, as they communicate telepathically ...

The Real Story is probably the weakest book of SRD's that I've read, but he's made no secret of the fact that he's not entirely happy with it. I've not read Reave the Just , but I seem to recall Daughter of Regals being a bit of a mixed bag, with some stories that I really enjoyed and some that wer...

Hmm, I've a few contenders for this. A couple of years ago I saw JJ72 in a tiny venue in Leicester called The Charlotte. We were so close to the band that you could have reached out and touched them. One of my mates took an elbow in the eye on the front row and the bass player gave him her water to ...

I used to have quite a few pets, but now I'm down to just two. I've got an eighteen-month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is a real handful, and has the annoying (and painful) habit of locking her jaws onto lips and finger-webbing. We also have a rather aged cat, who I suspect is developing type ...

When I first read the Gap Series, I didn't read the books in the right order. I had already read Chaos and Order , A Dark and Hungry God Arises and half of Forbidden Knowledge before reading The Real Story. As a result I didn't find out the correct pronounciation of Thermopyle for some time, I had a...

The parellel between Mhoram and Dios could be even more direct, considering that Dios' subordinates all considered him to be prescient, in a way not unlike Mhoram's visions.
