I might have to go back into the PvP battlegrounds--today's patch starts Arena season 4, and makes the season 2 gear available to buy with Honor points. There's a couple of good pieces in that lot. I think I'm going to have to do that too, I really need a better belt (blue quality rogue belts are s...

Kind of ironic that the number one 'That Guy' is an Oscar winner, but a great list nontheless. The Cromwell was the only decent thing in 24 season 6.

Totally agree with the first comment about John C. McGinley, he was in everything before Scrubs.

I didn't like this film at all, it had some great ideas but almost all of them were poorly executed. The writers didn't give any kind of thought to how people with suppressed emotions would really behave, they seemed to make a point of it whenever the plot required it, but the rest of the time the a...

I liked it and I think you're all forgetting one thing: there's no such thing as a bad Alan Rickman film.

Any other dual-dagger wielding rogues out there? I have a question: When picking which dagger to go in your main-hand, would you choose your faster blade, or your more powerful blade? Anyone know how the dynamics of how two blades work? I have some experience of this! Murrin is about right, basical...

Nice bet! I didn't think Portugal were going to go all the way, they have the same problem as England in that they've got some great players but they just aren't a team. Having Ricardo in goal isn't going to help either! Germany are really the opposite, they normally only have one or two stand-out p...

The fern leaf represents the ferns that gave the town it's original name, Ferneberga, and features in the town's crest as well (the local heraldric crests are detailed on this page www.civicheraldry.co.uk/hants_ob.html ). The flower is a Dog Rose, which is the county flower of Hampshire, it can be s...

As long as they don't have any orcs with cultured british accents, I'll try to be forgiving. That really bugged me about Oblivion, they must've used six voice actors tops, if you include Patrick Stewart. I'm sure Mass Effect had some actors playing multiple parts, but I never noticed them (the Volu...

It's because of how the read heads move across the surface of the disc, see Constant Angular Velocity and Constant Linear Velocity . I'm sure technology will increase that read speed, but I think as the limiting factor is on the hardware side I'm not sure how it could be rolled out to current device...

I like your action bar mods Murrin, I've been thinking of going to town with my UI again. I used to use a really customisable bar mod but I got sick of it breaking every time there was a patch. The best thing about it was that my 'Eviscerate' button was in the exact same place as the 'need' button w...

I never played Fable, so I'm unsure if I want to get Fable 2 or not. Peter Molyneux has reavealed some amazing information about it, but I'm conscious that I struggled to play Oblivion consistently and fantasy RPGs don't always hold my attention. My number one most wanted for 2008 is Fallout 3, alth...

Just acquired Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay. So far, interesting game. Pretty hard in places, though. That game was great, I never finished it though. I think I was stuck down in the mines and couldn't work out what I had to do next. Vin Diesel made his own development studio to ma...

The introduce a lot of interesting game concepts in Half Life 2, but I agree that the game is really a vehicle for the story. I found that the levels tend to start out really interesting, but it's more of the same until you get to the next level. Bioshock is similar in a lot of ways, with the stunni...

There's a stack of Runecloth on the AH for 131612g. Who on earth would pay the deposit on something like that, that can never sell? Three words: Chinese Gold Sellers Blizzard are getting better at catching transfers in the mail and in private trades, they probably tell the customer to put up an auc...

It took a long time, but I didn't start seriously until I had about 2000g from finishing all the solo quests I could and selling my primal mooncloth (I don't have the tailoring skill to make bags out of it yet). I only really started moving on it once they opened Quel'Danas in the last patch and the...

I really should pick up fishing again, I think my skill is at about 250. I know I did the exotic fish quests from Nat Pagle and I got a cool fishing rod from a little boy in Shatner City. I do the cooking daily quest every day and I've got all the recipes from the crate of meat, so I get the barrel ...

I haven't really seen any truely big games on either Xbox or PlayStation... so far I have disappointed and have stuck with PC games at the moment. Though UT3 has been good. Seriously? Games don't come any bigger than Halo 3 and GTA IV. Then there's Bioshock (PS3 fans have stopped picking holes in i...

MGS has become famous for it's long cutscenes. I find I enjoy them as the FMV and voice acting is excellent, but the codec sequences are often overly long. I find myself bashing X to skip through them, which is a shame because you miss the subtle plot points and humour that way. I've heard that MGS4...
