don't get me wrong, i think he loved the Land, but like the way i love my dog, i don't think my dog is my equal. he has this condescending paternal attitude towards the people of the Land.

Also, does anyone remember the exact figure of how far they were marchign every day? 'cause I've done 32/km a day, marching 16 hours a day, and it wasn't that bad. Atleast, I don't remember it. 32km would be just barely over 5 and three quarters leagues. 10 leagues a day, for 28 days, carrying weap...

That's not quite what SRD's mental imagery had made me picture an Elohim as, though.

the Haruchai are extreme, black or white, in all they do, whether it is in their Vow, or their passion for their wives.

ok, so maybe calling him a "pansy ass" is a bit harsh, but with TIW fresh in my mind i can't get past the fact that he asked more of everyone around him than he asked of himself, when he was faced with harsh reality, like when Manethrall Gay arrived with news of Foul's army, or on Kevin's ...

he was so arrogant, though. he looked down on the people of the Land, even the Old Lords. here he is some pansy ass who had never been in a real fight and he is referring to the Old Lords and their battles, their strategy against Lord Foul in a total condescending manner. those foolish Lords, if onl...

right. those two things ARE spelled out which means the Bloodguard served 1,000 years under Kevin prior to the Desecration. i think that Foul was able to remain disguised is that the Bloodguard did not know doubt then, either of themselves or the Lords. they had made their Vow while overwhelmed by T...

i am doing a reread of all the TC books so it will be fresh in my mind when Fatal Revenant is released, it has been about a decade since i have done so. a few things in TIW have jumped out at me that i had forgotten while reading through discussions here previously. one, the question as to whether o...

Well, the bloodguard existed for about 1000 years before the Desecration, so... no idea if they were around before Lord Foul was a Lord, though. where did you see that? it is said that Kevin lived centuries the way "normal" people lived decades, which means he would have lived 700-800 yea...

count me as one of SRD's fans who loved MN, and while it was not a story on the epic scale of the TC Chronicles, the character work in it is superb, imo, and is a great yarn with a unique approach to "magic".

how about, "If the Gap books are able to be successfully adapted, meaning they turn a profit, would that in any way lead to the pursuit of adapting the TC Chronicles as well?"

very intriguing question, "which Bloodguard warded Foul", but imo if there was one he would have either killed himself in shame or his fellow Bloodguard would have killed him, for his failure to see Foul for what he was after the proverbial sh*t hit the fan. We are shown how very hard the ...

i think it is a pretty sure thing there will be another sequel, "28 Months Later", and wouldn't be surprised if there was another after that, "28 Years Later".

remember to replenish those fluids, Lucimay. as bad a case as it sounds like you had it will take more than just a couple days for you to come back to 100% from it, so don't push yourself too hard either. food poisoning really .....................takes it out of you,...so to speak. 8O ;)

Massawyrm is a lame reviewer. the guy went on a hysterical rant about how Happy Feet was a subversive anti-Christian movie aimed at unsuspecting kids. that said, it does look as if Spidey 3 is not going to get reviews quite as good as 1 and 2 from those put up so far on Rottentomatoes.com. at presen...
