One Thing I Never FULLY Understood...

Is why exactly Ciro went through with what he did despite the fact that he was cured. I mean I know he apparently was driven insane but I mean that's not enough of an answer if you ask me.

Opinions?

What are the MORALS of the Gap Cycle?

If you had to explain them, or just one perhaps, what would you say the moral or morals of this story are?

And perhaps "moral" is the wrong word... maybe instead there's more of an underlying meaning than a 'moral' in the true sense of the word.

Anyways, discuss!

9/10 but it's only because I disagree strongly with the last question regarding what happened to Angus.

IMO he did not 'escape' - but was rather rewarded with no search parties sent out after him and Motherlode. An escape suggests being chased. Angus wasn't chased.

The problem I have with Jack Black has more to do with his previous roles than it does with his potential to play a character like Thermopyle. Although I can see what you're getting at with the way he looks, I just wouldn't be able to take him seriously as a cold-hearted prick. He's already set in m...

[quote=For Morn, how about Maggie Gylenhal. The emotional range of her character in The Secretary is about the same as what Morn would need to display.:D[/quote] I'm not sure about her acting abilities - but I just can't picture her as morn. Morn was gorgeous according to everybody, even Nick who wa...

Here's my interpretation: A person's mind is a complicated thing. It's half physical - neurons and chemicals and electric charges. The other half is more complicated: what we would call the soul or spirit, a meta-physical higher-order phenomenon that interacts both with the physical world, supposed...

I've been able to think up certain actors that seem fitting to me for the following 4 roles. Tell me what you guys think.

It's not as good as what elfgirl did but I love trying to think up people who might be well-cast for these characters.

Yeah elf that's true.

The pics are a little too clean and shiny to be right out of the books. I just really think of Angus going EVA in the 1st one.

The 1st pic looks like it's straight off Thanatos Minor at Billingate.
2nd reminds me of what UMCPHO could possibly look like perhaps, and the 3rd reminds me of UMCPHQ

Artwork Inspired by The Gap Cycle?

I stumbled upon these not too long ago, and I couldn't help but wonder if the artist might have gotten his inspiration from 'The Gap Cycle' for these particular works. The artist is somebody named KAGAYA. I believe he is Japanese. img471.imageshack.us/img471/8096/f13scene8ns.jpg img504.imageshack.us...

Thanks Elf 8)

As soon as I thought about 'toad-like' actors this guy was the 1st that came to mind.

Now keep in mind that he isn't normally the 'bad guy' in films, but if he has any acting talent whatsoever he would be able to pull off Angus.

Revenge

Not to bring the series down at all - but there was a little part of me that kinda wished to see Angus achieve his revenge on Milos. Same can be said for my feelings towards Nick. Although I really came to hate who Nick was, I couldn't help but cheer him on in his final moments as he faced off again...

Thanks for the welcoming words guys! Yeah I just think I missed the whole point of this message sent by Nick. Hashi put so much thought into trying to figure out what he meant - but I don't think we were ever given an explaination as to how or why Nick brought up 'kazes' - nor was the identity of th...

Just Finished Up the Gap Cycle! - Simply Spectacular!!!

What a terrific story, I don't think there's one page I wasn't hooked to. Like many others I had such difficult times putting this book down at night - and even after I was able to part with it, my thoughts would always seem to sway towards the books and what was about to happen next. I just have on...
