How about getting a left leaning poster to take the opposite tact and make a post supporting a free-market health care solution? It may be more interesting to take each question and have each side of the debate take opposite stances. Just a thought. So can a socialized health care advocate make a c...

Like I said, I'm watching The Dead Zone as I write. And it has gotten better as it has gone on (Johnny just met Greg Stillson). But it has nothing on the book. No ice-hockey accident at the age of 5. No regurgitated hot-dogs at the fair. No Stillson kicking a dog to death because it's owners dared t...
It's "Who are the people in your neighbourhood?" from Sesame Street, right?Syl wrote:You figure it out. I got it in about about ten seconds.

Worst Movie adaptation.
I bought the DVD of "The Dead Zone" on a whim yesterday. I saw this movie once back in the '80s, shortly after reading the book, and at the time I thought it was OK. But as I write this I'm watching it. And (despite the presence of Christopher Walken) it is truly, truly dreadful. Does anyo...

Pity about the XTM performance, Nav. If there is a clear performance issue then I guess you have no choice but reverting to vanilla. But XTM is far better if you can manage it. Just a little note on Kha'ak clusters: They do not like Hurricane missiles. Not one little bit. Fire one just after the clu...

The game certainly does run a lot better than it did at first, the trouble is that the gates don't seem to match up with the map so I can't get up to Menaleus' Frontier to get that free toucan. Do I need to install the expanded universe mod first? You shouldn't have to. Is your problem occuring in ...

Great answer to Nav's question, Murrin. Some other good sectors for sector trading are: Empire's Edge, Duke's Domain, Queen's Space, Shore of Infinity Haven't worked out the right balance for capturing yet. Did the first two plot missions--the first one was pretty simple, the second one showed off j...

Sell the Falcon. Falcon's are absolute rubbish. IIRC their top speed is about 77. Even a slow capital ship can fly 44 or so. You'll be able to mount a decent amount of guns on a falcon, but anyone who feels like firing at you will hit you. You need to get some better weapons than those IRE's. The on...

Wish you could use the Best Buy/Best Sell locators remotely; I'm having to fly the Mercury myself and have to search all the Argon Prime prices manually. I think I'll keep going on vanilla for a while before I start a mod game. You can use them remotely. I'm assuming here that you've been using it ...

AVG can bog down sometimes, I think it starts a hidden scan of its own under certain circumstances. It's usually okay though and if you don't have time to scan the whole computer you can pick up where you left off later, which is a neat feature. I think that's the same avgw.exe process that I was t...

Actually, I've never done it, because I'm not sure what they all are. Neither am I, but it seems they have nothing to do with helping you play games, and it frees up a helluva lot of RAM. Like I said, I read this in the manual for Sims 2 (or one of the expansion packs). Also, If you have AVG anti-v...
