One thought - We've had several crossovers into The Land from Earth... what if by the end of AATE, LF has found a way to make a trip into our world? What if all the subterfuge and baiting of LA has been to get her to destroy the Arch right at the moment when he slips away out of reach into our world...

Reading Eric Lustbader's "Ring of the Five Dragons" right now - almost done. Looking forward to book 2 (which is sitting on my shelf, along with the final volume).

New to the forum, but came seeking news of Book 2. Guess I'll join the rest in waiting with anticipation for the release date, which appears to be not for a little while yet. Sad, but it'll give me a chance to re-read Book 1 again...
