Finely saw this season over two nites on DVR. I liked it. For a horror tv show it was pretty good. I'm not a fan of found footage either, but I ignored that part and just focused on the story told. Had a few good frights; the ep at some abandoned facility was really freaky.

It tried to have something for everyone. I didn't like the family orientation, myself. That family stuff is good for other shows, but not in a SciFi-Action-Dino-TimeTravel show.

Thanks finn. Glad to see your still at it in the Tank. ;) You actually might have a good idea about sending the GTMO chaps to DC, but they would need to be confined to buddy-up with the Occupy DC ilk. btw, you know that the 5 HVD (high value detainees), those directly involved with 911 planning, etc...

Ya, I and my neighbors caused this gtmo mess. Send em our way, we got guns now anyway...legal guns, I mean. ;) I love it when folks say DC did this and DC did that and DC needs to go up in flames, blah blah; I look at my family and dogs and say even the lefties want to kill us. finn! bud! You want u...

Take Shelter

End of world type flick (or is it...?) I didn't hear of this movie until my brother tasked me to see it with him. A very very very low key film throughout, both storyline and acting; low key but very effective, for me. It is a movie about the Husband's journey of impending doom and his Wife's coping...

I think the world is a good place. The world is what you make of it by either ignoring certain things or taking advantage of certain things. The folks of the Land took advantage of stone and wood and their various gifts, but ignored any cultural advancement or technical inventions for eons, but have...

I've had dreams that I swear took hours, but upon waking only 15 min or so had passed. I also had a long dream once of being chased, and chasing, and ended up with me walking up a hill, being directed by a man in a Civil War Union uniform to proceed on up saying, "He's right over there.", ...

Grimm

Pilot show was on two nites in a row. Caught it the other night and I liked it. Modern take on Grimm Bros fairy tales with a Cop finding out he is one of the last in a long line of Grimm's, which are special folks who have a knack to seek, find and kill the "monsters". I really liked the l...

I was never a zombie fan; didn't even look at this series until the marathon last week and then I got hooked. I really like it. 1st ep of season 2 was pretty good, esp the first half with the zombie horde coming down the highway. Besides the SFX, I like the character interactions for the most part; ...

I was hoping some Lost TV show vibes would have been envoked into the show: interesting characters, cool music, interesting storylines, but I was also disappointed. Storylines 101, so far. There is something of a mystery concerning the rock drawings, so there is some hope, I suppose. I'll keep watch...

Most of my opinions have not changed drastically. The last few years I'm more anti-abortion than I was and am more pro-same sex marriage, and I still believe in death row as a strong deterrent and justified penalty. The biggest change for me is that I've jumped on the get us the $%^! out of Afgan an...

You have to actually hear Reid as he defends the NEH (and Cowboy Poetry in particular) from getting funds cut to appreciate how inane he is. Also, he states at the end that 10K+ people wouldn't exist if it were not for Cowboy Poetry, as if it stimulates procreation. ;) www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsDwEU...
