I think the reason we like angus is that SD wrote him to be liked. Theres a chapter from igensard, the special council's POV and I found myself automatically hating him. Why? Because he wants to be the next director of the UMCP? Angus was written much more sympathetically. Also I found it funny how ...

I was totally not expecting the gap to have a happy ending
I just finished reading the gap series- I read the first one like 6 months ago, but the others were on loan at the time so I didn't get the rest till a couple weeks ago. Then, since it was the school holidays and I could survive staying up till 1.30am, I read three in a week. Anyway, I just finished...

His power still is disproportionate, paradox or not, because the merewives aren't directly descended from the merewives! The story goes that Katty loved a human chick and taught her some things (we can assume she could possibly become powerful like, say, an old lord), then she got a bunch of abandon...

Who would win in a fight, Vain or findail?
This question is a bit more superficial than most asked on the watch, I think, but im interested in what everyone thinks. I don't think that we can just say that Vain would win becuase findail couldn't escape from him, because we have to remember that findail didn't want to partially damage him, jus...

Yeah it did, because covenant was out of the land. It was probably made by damelon as a tool which could channel any amount of power the lords could summon through it- in lord mhoram's victory mhoram mentions something along those lines. I dont quite know why every time covenant goes to the land it ...

I think that in this scene the moral poison of the venom has finally corrupted covenant enough that its started to corrupt the wild magic that he weilds. This is because its a moral poison, and because thomas covenant 'is the white gold' his 'moral state' affects how he articulates the power. This i...

hey, weren't all young landians killed off by the clave or mind controlled and sent against the heros at revelstone? It seems like the land had gone through a serious depopulation... from warwards of 20,000 to (perhaps) low 100s population of a generation. I assume the staff of law cant quick grow f...

I don't know how land people could survive immediately after the sunbane was healed. The last sunbane phase was a desert sun, I think, so theres no vegetation or water left. The wayhim were decimated, so theres not more than a couple rhysh left most likely, and while linden thought that animals prob...

My interpetation of the second chrons was that the arch of time wasn't in danger of being fused with venom until WGW when covenant fused the venom within himself. That was different to actaully fighting the banefire. Before that the arch of time was in danger from the size of the wild magic he wield...
