One thing i didn't get- In fatal revenant linden and the haruchai blast the harrow with everything they got, but the staff of law does nothing as long as he covers his eyes. Then roger comes in and blows him up with the hand of an elohim, which should be earthpower just the same, if a bit magma-y. T...

I agree. It definitely seems to be SRD's writing style, which I like. But it does get carried away. Many more scenes of superfluous prose, but as usual, when it gets to the good bits it really delivers. I think that the Second chronicles have the best pacing of the series, and even though I prefer t...

Re-reading The Wounded Land after FR, the scene where TC fights off the firespout lurker was a lot more interesting in light of knowing the 7 words. TC 'silently shouts' the 6 words that he heard from the lords in his throat, and along with the light of the krill, this seems to snap the lurker's pow...

haha, nice Relayer. Whenever I think of what could cause bullet wounds I think of how Covenant was murdered in WGW. You'd think some sort of knife and sword would be obvious, but no, hammered down by wild magic! I'm sure it'll be nothing we could expect. I wonder if Elohim can turn into guns... thou...

I don't think that he was being arrogant or anything. I didn't understand your question wayfriend, and thought you meant what SRD thought. I thought that in the books the elohim see heaps of things when they want to, but that its never really said that theyre omniscient. Maybe im just stupid though....

This is totally irrelevant, but I didn't think Shylock deserved what he got, let alone a painful death. He lent money and they broke the agreement, and yet they were rewarded for it simply because they were citizens (christian) and he was jewish. Anyways! I was unsatisfied with gilburs death, just b...

I always thought it was weird that Geraden could make curved mirrors show places in mordant that were in the present, as I thought only flat mirrors could do that. Did Terisa ever make her flat mirrors show other worlds?

Blindy Troy (was that his name?) thought that time favoured lord foul, and getting foul to attack earlier by summoning covenant would help the lords.
But he screwed up a bit, didn't he? haha

I'm more interested in the powers of gold than the Kasreyn. I assume it wields wild magic in a way that is limited by some sort of law- maybe its own law. Like, could he have created white fire if he wanted to, but it would have some draw back, like it would have burnt him? I guess we will never kno...

Man, I have got to stop going on this forum so late at night and not checking my posts, my spell is atrocious. I agree with everything said here (thanks for the replies). I hope that we see gold again, just to see more of its limitations, and whether its power is accessed by lore or passion. Thinkin...

What are the powers of regular pure gold?

Gold is mentioned once in the first chronicles by atrian I think, and we see it in the second. Its power seems quite different to white gold as it seems its used with lore? I personally assume that gold wields wild magic, excpet that it is bound by complicated rules. It would be good to find out wha...

Someone who doesn't die. I was sad that vector died, I was thinking that he was the only one who could possibly keep reinventing the antimutagen so that the amnion couldn't make it redundant. A lot more useful then angus flying off into space to continue piracy. I also wouldn't want to be davis... w...

Destroying soars proton cannon- outcomes?

Lets imagine what would have happened if nick had failed at destroying soars light proton cannon. (just btw, I like how nick got all the way to saors bridge just to be gunned down. I thought it was a great end to the guy who 'always wins') Would trumpet have been destroyed, or would soar have been a...
