The Chronicles and the Internet

G'day everybody. I am halfway through 'Fatal Revenant' and realised last night that the Internet is not referred to in 'The Runes of the Earth.' Surely it would have been a very useful resource for Linden and Jeremiah? After all, the Universe is digital. Beginning with a zero. Could someone here ple...

I have recently read Gilden Fire (having only in the past few days accomplished re-reading the entire current Chronicles of Thomas Covenant for the second time. Gilden Fire once) I am also a published author, with a University Degree (B.A. [Eng. Lit., Ec.]). I thought it was very stylistically poor....

The Land would have been healed, except that there would be one occurrence of the Sunbane, every 4 weeks or so, and lasting about 3 days. So there would be 27 days of normalcy, then there would be a Sun of Pestilence, then 27 days recovering from that, then a Desert Sun, etc... My initial response ...

FOUL PLAY

Just realised how to defeat the Despiser: simply have Lord Foul play childrens' games forever. With whom these games will be played is encouraged in discussion. P.S. Covenant has always said we can not slay Despite, that Lord Foul is simply the Dark to our Bright natures. As mammals. And mars...

High Lord Prothal first named Covenant ur-Lord after Covenant revealed the white gold hidden on the patch of clingor on his chest. You're right! I just found the passage. Still, it doesn't stop the fact that Covenant and Foul both bear similar titles. I think they are ying and yang to each other. W...

The title of Ur may be to alike or similair to a particular position. Where Kevin and Foul were reconized Lords. Thomas Covenant didn't go thru the rites of becoming a Lord. But he had an ability or power that position him into a statue or was elevated to an equal position like a Lord. Like the Vil...

... until recently. Do you think the Hauchai suspect Covenant is Lord Foul? No, I don't think the Haruchai suspect Covenant to be Foul. What I am saying is that both Lord Foul and ur Lord Covenant both bear the title of Lord; different halves of the same coin. And anyway, Covenant has often ...

Also, if someone could pass this message onto Mr Donaldson: both the Bright Side of the Force as well as the Dark Side of the Force necessarily define each others' fundamental natures: Dark defines Bright, and vice versa. To sum up: Taoism. Pretty simple, huh? :!!!:[/quote] Just realised: Donaldson ...

ur Lord Foul Covenant Unbelief

I have just figured out why Thomas Covenant is tiltled ur Lord by the Haruchai : to distinguish ur Lord Covenant from Lord Foul; both halves of the same coin. :D Another thing, after re-reading the Chronicles again, why isn't any of Covenant's family mentioned, as is the case with Linden, The First,...

" '"Kasreyn is the name he has borne since first he came to Bhrathairealm. . . [H]is magicks for the most part manifest themselves in circles, tending upward as they enclose." (The One Tree, Chapter 14, The Sandhold) Also, if someone could pass this message onto Mr Donaldson: both the...

Re: Which is Magick and Which is Not.

 In Witchcraft (Wicca) and Paganism Magic is prestidigitation (sleight of hand, illusionism) and Magick is indeed supranatural, as well as natural. I hope Mr Donaldson doesn't object . . . . Why would he V? Because it's a serious spelling/linguistic error throughout the so far published Chron...

What does Mr Stephen R. Donaldson's middle initial indicate?

I.e, what is the 'R.' short for? I've wondered this for about twenty years and have finally found :P an avenue of insight. The Net . . . .
