I would definitely say re-read the 2nd Chronicles, as has already been said there is so much going on in ROTE that won't truly make the impact it should without this. The encounter with Hamako and the Waynhim is one of my favourite parts of TWL, and sets up the battle in the frozen North of WGW, again one of the most powerful scenes in the Chronicles.
