Sure, but I don't buy that theory, personally...I know some people on KW seem to think that SRD will go that way with the story...I think it's too reminiscent of the Dark Tower stories...sort of solving the problem by starting over (pulling a rabbit out of the hat). I don't think SRD would stoop to ...

I'm re-reading the entire Chrons in prep for AATE and something clicked in my mind. So, in Chapter 3 of FR, Stave reminds us of the old legend that Berek would one day return. Well, until now, I always thought that meant that TC would be Berek's "avatar". I think most of us were there on t...

Yeah, Loric making the krill was excellent!!! We got glimpses of lots of great stuff! Berek telling Kevin to shut the hell up was wonderful!! One problem is three Ramen and a Stonedowner holding back an Haruchai . No way. Not even an idiot Master. That was a real interesting exchange between Berek ...

Loric was the High Lord I most wanted to know more about, so this golden nugget of information floors me. But he roamed the depths of Melenkurion Skyweir alone? And no assistants helped him forge the krill? All this just reaffirms to me what a badass Loric was. Quite agree with you on this. We got ...

And, isn't that Kevin's Watch in the background?

My wife and I got white gold rings. Me, for the obvious reason. My wife, she just naturally likes white gold better than yellow gold. And, no, she has not read anything by SRD...oh well!

The other thing about Andelain is the Dead. Why would you bury someone and create a monument to them when you can practically visit them in Andelain? Until the Law of Death was broken, there were no Dead at all...not even in Andelain, right? Correct. But Covenant died 3500 years after that. Yes, bu...

the celebration of spring could actually be the second new moon after the vernal equinox...time between vernal equinox and summer solstice is approx 90 days. Half way through is about 45 days. So, in 45 days, we could have 2 dark moons... The celebration of spring only happened on the rare occasions...

I was given LFB at the age of 11...why would you give an 11 year old boy that book? Anyway, I read it and did not understand much. So I didn't think anything more about it...until two years later in the library when I saw TWL. Something about it seemed very familiar, so I read it. (I know, I read th...

Since SRD did not give us much to work with, you've given us a good start. I seem to remember in the beginning of Illearth War that 40 days had passed in our world, while 40 years had passed in the Land. And in the beginning of TPTP, 7 days for us and 7 years for the Land... Maybe it really is 1 day...

Re: An Experiment in Unit Conversions

Knowns: - Land Units: 1 Land month (Lm) = 28 Land days (Ld) ((I am assuming that the Land uses lunar months. They give no indication that the calender works on anything but the moons and seasons. Yes, this does affect the numbers.)) 1 Land year = 12 Lm = 336 Ld ((This assumption is based on nothing...

Indeed, Bruiser, LFB is just the beginning of a truly great journey. I felt the same way (way back when) as you do now when I read LFB the first time. But, I kept reading and I found myself in love with the whole series.

Please, keep an open mind and just enjoy the ride...it is so worth it!

Interesting! Good job, by the way. Not the way I pictured Bloodguard, but my imagination was never very good, so take my comments with a few grains of salt.

I love the effort! Keep it up!
