One thing I noticed somewhere in the first book? when Morn was recompiling info for the sabotaged data core, there was a mention about how it took up gigabytes of data. That kinda dates the novels and one would think that for a advanced spacecraft capable of something as complex as a gap drive they...

The clear and obvious moral is "don't sadistically rape and torture people you might be forced to work with in the future to save humanity."

There are SO MANY opportunities for unrelated "tangent" stories. I was always curious about the occasionally mentioned Teminus station, along with Aleph Green and the Earth located PolyMed. A novel detailing Fasner's rise to power and the people he screws (in the metaphorical sense) to get...

I'm new and my name's not actually Frank.

I love the Gap series and to a lesser extent like the Covenant books. I've only read them once though.

I found this website whilst aimlessly googling for a Gap messageboard. I must I am rather impressed and relieved that such a forum exists!

There are really too many to name, but several that spring to mind are: - Nick's desperate moments at Billingate where he clings to a crew that is close to mutiny. Those were the best chapters in the series and fill me with awe and inspiration every I read them. - Morn's rescue from the Amnion secto...

Did I miss something?

I've read the series three times. Only on my third read through did I notice that apparantly the curious nature of Nick's "If you want her, you bastard, you can have her... Kazes are such fun, don't you think? - etc" message to Hashi was never resolved. At the time it seemed to be intruigi...
