I just realized it must mean that Covenant doesn't survive the series. He dies when the Arch is destroyed, real dead not Land Dead dead. While Linden must survive. Well, Covenant didn't survive the second series either.... ;) Ah. It was late at night and I didn't grasp your point the first time aro...

Well, SRD has said in the GI that when he wrote the First Chronicles, he wasn't thinking of any sequels. It was only after Lester Del Rey kept pestering him with apparently horrible ideas for a sequel that SRD says he conceived of the ideas for both the Second and Last Chronicles at the same time. W...

I was more worried about the Arch. If she wasn't supposed to have been there, healing all those people that probably should've died would have serious reprecussion on Time. But, as time travel is always quite ambiguous, Linden and the Theomach were probably supposed to be there and heal those peopl...

I was fooled, too. Because of the "We're in two places at once" line, I duped myself into thinking that TC's personality was broken up into two places as well.

Here are my first thoughts: Wow, what a book. Worth the 3 year wait. I finished in about 3 days. The scene under Melenkurion Skyweir was amazing. Some random thoughts: I don't think we've seen the last of the Theomach or the Mahdoubt. And what was that about the Mahdoubt casting aspersions on the Th...

It's the first page of chapter 12 of the first part of the book -- right after Linden drinks the Earthblood and says, "Show me the truth!". "Covenant" is revealed to be Roger.

Thanks for the welcome, everybody! Cagliostro, when I said I was from Kansas, I should have said that I'm currently from Kansas. I actually grew up in suburban Chicago, then moved to Wichita after I became an adult. I've been here for about three years now. I like it in Wichita, except for the fact ...

Newbie here

Hi everyone, Though I've just joined Kevin's watch, I've been lurking here on and off for a few years now. I'm from the state of Kansas. I've read almost all of SRD's work by now. I first read TCOTC back in junior high. When I revisited the books shortly after graduating from college, I discovered s...
