TC's refusal to "take matters into his own hands" was actually one of the (many) things I liked about the first Chronicles. It made him real.

My understanding was that there was a race called the Demondim, and that the Viles were somehow decended from them... But then again, misinterpretation is not uncommon in TCTC, and I can't remember exactly where I got that idea from... With regards to the 'ur-' prefix, it seems to me to essentially ...

Ah, Tarzan...that legendary veteran general :)
Perhaps he might have done a better job than Hile Troy...

"I already have all the ideas for the grand scheme so the second chronicles is ready for the last chronicles. The damage to the law of death is so powerful that there is no real reason for Covenant to remain dead. "

So that's where that thing about TC not staying dead came from!

Indeed. Also taking into account limited food supplies, and the fact that sleeping on the ground is not the most restful experience in any case... Plus the terrain might well have been really hard going. And how fit were they really? Did every member of the Warward go running every day? Possibly. Bu...

Willem Dafoe is suitably gaunt, and a face made for scowling, but a little old and wrinkly to be TC, IMO :)

Indeed. I have similar sentiments about "Don't touch me". That would be a short game indeed, using the Second Chronicles :)

I don't think Sean Bean was in Mission Impossible 2... :? Dougray Scott was the renegade IMF agent, I believe... Sean Bean was , however, renegade 006 Alec Travelyan in Goldeneye ... Not sure about him as Foamfollower. I'd propose Brian Blessed if he wasn't kind of overbearing... I actually think Se...

I think he's a troubled, confused, lost, disillusioned, embittered self-absorbed bastard! What I mean is, he is justified , to an extent, in being self-absorbed. But it wasn't until very late in the first chronicles that he showed any signs of heroism, in the sense of the greater good. I suppose in ...

The fact that the Land is entirely populated by people who see acts of heroism as their duty always seems one of the main points about the Land, and one of the reasons TWL is distressing - these people have gone...

:D I have never heard of that particular game before, but SRD does seem to have a select few unusual words that appear more frequently than others in TCTC. I don't remember seeing many occurences of 'macerate', though :?

I am indeed notorious for my seemlingly limitless vocabulary (in the eyes of my peers :) ). It's reading things like TC that afflicted me with such a disorder :)

It says something about the nature of my colloquial conversation that one of my most frequently-used words is 'proliferation'... :D

I'd completely forgotten about that note. It seems to me the "real world" would be our Earth/dimension, since the note was clearly written to Covenant, and to him, this is the real world. Even if he believes the Land is real, I don't think he ever doubted that his world was also real. Or m...

No contest, the first chronicles. Although the second chronicles are emotionally involving - with moments of despair, joy, hope, and just coolness (I'm talking about Nom) - to me, the first chronicles just work better. I find them better written, better conceived, and nothing in the second chronicle...

To be honest, I'm not sure I agree with any of the suggestions above... Somehow Patrick Stewart seems too stern to be Mhoram, and perhaps a little old. I always pictued the Bloodguard as quite short, and well-muscled, but not too well-muscled :) Bruce Lee would have been good... I can't bring Guy Pe...

But back to the discussion. This 'summoning' thing is proving tricky. I thought you could have the stone-warped as one of the evil teams, with them summoning the Giant-Ravers, but would that be over-use of Ravers if they feature somewhere else? I have no idea what the Unhomed could summon. In the bo...
