Argh, the vague hints about speaking at a postgrad lecture/seminar thing a couple of months ago have come back. They're still interested in having me. I'm not ready. I need to learn more about Fatimid Egypt and make more progress on my re-translation of Hugo Falcandus. I'm afraid.

I remember not liking the two Crichtons when I saw it on tv, but I appreciated it much more during my rewatch of the whole series last year.

I'm now halfway through the second series. In some respects it's gone a bit Buffy, but it's still enjoyable. I was informed this morning that Syfy has made a US adaptation. I have to watch one episode just out of curiosity.

I'm losing patience with AC1. I've reached what seems to be the last round of assassinations, and it's becoming a real hassle to just walk around thanks to the combination of hair-triiger guards and a proliferation of those guys who shove you for no reason.
