Hey, I'm a stay at home parent. I can't be online uninterrupted for long periods, but I can bop on over and check for updates every ten minutes or so. And chatty is fun, good character development....more role-playing and less roll playing.

R Scott Bakker's Second Apocalypse series is interesting. The lighter skinned races have LOST their culture (in the First Apocalypse), and are derided by the Three Seas cultures (which are darker skinned).
