1. Such an act would destroy the Arch along with the Insequent. 2. I don't see any pockets of time happening. In AATE, LA and TC will travel by Dromond back to the Isle of the One Tree to confront the menace of the Worm's awakening. The Arch apparently still holds, despite the devastation around Ea...

I think it ties in to 2 things...1: the Elohim mentioned that a power given is far different from a power wrested, referring to taking the ring from TC. Thus, Foul HAD to engineer it so Covenant would hand it over. 2. All expressions of Power are themselves expressions of the wielder. I believe this...

As far as Lord of the Rings actors, I never thought of that either, and it's been many years since I read the books, but does JRRT ever SAY what anyone's skin color is? I mean, how do we know they aren't all black? Or purple? Or green? The Orcs and Uruk-Hai have dark skin. On the movies, that is. B...

Re: The one stone.

We know that the original staff of law was created from the one tree, and linden's new one has essence of the one tree within it (vain's arm turned to wood when he touched the tree). But what of the one stone? We know that the orcrest was part of it, as the staff is apart of the tree, but we have n...

As I recall, wasn't Covenant told, at some point in Second Chronicles, that the Earth had passed into its last age, from which there could be no redemption? (or words to that effect) So, the passing of this final Age could be "The Last Dark". But I see 2 probable (based on my interpretatio...

There's an African-American in my gaming group. Also, at Owlcon (at Rice University here in Houston), at the D&D game being run there, one of the DM's and 2 of the 8 players were African American.

On a related note, check youtube for the Chocolate News skit, "Blomicon"

my least favorite would be One Tree. My favorite would be White Gold Wielder. I get chills EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that I read Linden's struggle with the Raver. that one final sentence. "And broke free." I really don't like Linden all that much in 2nd Chronicles. Don't actively DISLIKE her, j...

Elohimfest 2009?

Sorry, I've been away for a while (my PC died, and car repair issues trump PC repair until tax money arrives), so apologies if I missed this...but are there any plans for an Elohimfest 2009? and if so, where?

I don't find the verbatim memory that much of a problem. Although, that may be because I remember things like that myself. :)

Apologies for putting a spoiler in here....wasn't paying attention to which forum, thought an FR cover art thread would be in the FR forums. I posted this in the TC last words thread, but i think it ties in.... I think maybe Linden got it wrong with her interpretation of find me. I think he meant his physical remains (i went into this in detail in that thread, not going to rehash it), but i suggested that his remains are somewhere import...

Covenant didn't surrender to Foul...he ceded Foul the ring, yes. But he made it clear that only by NOT actually opposing Foul could he defeat Foul. He didn't agree to serve, merely to give the ring.

Errant idea..."Find me" refers to his physical body. There's something, some artifact, or some knowledge can be gained, at the location of his physical remains. Maybe the post-Sunbane people of the Land, pre-Masters, put them somewhere, didn't leave him under Mount Thunder. Next wild idea ...
