Since I've now booked and confirmed anything, I'll ask a few quick questions. First, what kind of attire should we bring for the dinner? I assume it's not overly formal but wanted to make sure. Second, I'm also assuming that it's ok to bring a book for SRD to sign, right? Just making sure.

Well this is brilliant... after making plans and taking off work and planning an itinerary, I got an unexpected 17% pay cut at work this week. I guess the new guy won't be coming after all.

New guy reporting back... I'll definitely be attending and can help some with expenses. Finances might not be as tight as I originally thought, so hopefully I'll be able to contribute a non-negligible amount. Let me know what I need to do. I'll book with this hotel when they get the site up.

I know I just got here and all, but for me, one day is as good as another. I'm looking at a ~15 hour drive, and I can just as easily drive up and chill at a hotel on Thursday. I would also pay my portion of the facilities/food cost, of course.
