LOL! You're not wrong - my dish pig is Carlton, and my first year is Collingwood. Oh, the fun we have!

Here's hoping Kennet doesn't convince the boys to go to the Supreme Court. I don't agree with the Tribunal's descion, but time to cop it on the chin and focus on tommorrow's game.

Perhaps he also did it with pleasure at knowing that the one constraint upon him had just been lifted. Now, no one could command him. Now, he was free to persue his purpose as he saw fit, answerable to none.

Indeed. And if you have any questions, feel free to ask away, either in-thread as you have done here or by pm. Speaking from my own experience, I've never met a more friendly, generous group of people.

But if you had to pick, O SleeplessOne, who would it be? Dogs or Saints? As for Adelaide, just to make the Grand Final from the bottom 8 would be an achievement. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think any team has won without finishing in the top 4 since the introduction of the 8. You're right a...

Cool. Good review - thanks for the link, Orlion. (Even if the reviewer's monotone almost put me to sleep, lol.)

I may have to purchase this one myself.

Yes, I just read today's Hearld, where that point, along with some of the things I raised in my above rantings, were addressed. (Seems Dermie agrees with me that the bump is on the way out. Demetriou denies that, of course; what else would he say?) A couple of years ago I couldn't watch a Sydney gam...

Stone Age looks good, Orlion! Am I right in assuming there are 10 turns, with the scoring kept around the edge of the board?

Maybe you're right SleeplessOne, and the Hawks should have just accepted the one match ban, but the point is he shouldn't have been reported in the first place! (I think they appealed because it looks like Roughhead will also miss this weeks game, ie; no big target up front.) It's almost as if the A...

AFL: a non-contact sport.

I did a quick search and couldn't find this topic already discussed - if it has been, mea culpa. Okay, so let me admit my bias straight up; I'm a Hawks fan. But that only adds to my disappointment at the Tribunal's most recent attempt to turn Aussie Rules into a non-contact sport. www.news.com.au/h...

I seem to have a memory of this subject, or something very similar to it, being discussed in a different thread, but I just can't seem to find it. Anyway, I'll have a crack at exploring your questions with you Kaydene, though I can offer no assurances as to my opinion's usefulness. Kaydene wrote: Wh...

Well, the last time England won the Ashes it had been a long time between drinks, so I can understand the hysteria somewhat. After all, the English aren't nearly as used to winning as we Aussies are...hehehe.

All cheek aside, Congratulations England, on a deserved victory.

Sounds intriguing. Could you elaborate on the setting a tad? ...isolated valley is the sudden centre of the worlds attention. Being heralded as the purest source of the much valued Blood Ore... Does this suggest an Industrial Age for the game? If the world knows about it, and ore is of interest....

I saw an interview with Tarantino on tele where he basically claimed that if the characters he created in the movie had existed in reality, then Inglorius Basterds could quite plausibly have happened. I love the guy, but ye Gods, the ego on him! Only Tarantino would try and defend this highly enjoya...

From a philospohical point of view, who are WE to DECIDE who should be GIVEN the flute. If the flute was truly produced or purchased by carla then she is the only one who has the right to decide who the flute should be given to. Interesting point, Brinn. How did we end up with the flute in the firs...

Almost couldn't watch yesterday's play...almost. How do you go from being bowled out for 160 one day, to 0/80 the next? The mind boggles.... All kudos to the English, however. They deserve their eventual victory. (Surely, Australia can't win it from here? Yes, they have plenty of time, but seriously...
