The old guy is like many people we meet that pull us into their twisted world. Well, we can always return the favor and mess up their creation! Actually, the creator placed TC in his creation when he made his world, just as LF placed banes in the creation - TC is actually Lord Foul's bane as we alwa...

uh-uh. It's explicitly stated that they understand the translation fine, and can read the words fine, but that somehow the meaning of those words elude them - there's something missing in the readers that mean that they can't make the Lore work like it should. In TPTP, Mhorram works out that its th...

We know absolutely nothing about the nature of the Ur-Viles. I thought they were black, roynish creatures - made by the Demondim, with arms and legs of equal length (more able to run on all fours), bald heads, pointed ears high on their heads, wet noses, no eyes, fight in wedges, lore wise, traditi...

No more ur-viles?
If LF and Kevin together spoke the ROD and all life (except LF and that which was sent away by Kevin) was destroyed, how come there are still a butt load of ur-viles at the time of ill-earth war? Thousands. Did LF warn his "people" also? Sure, Cavewrights can reprouduce - but not Ur-viles ...

It was probably all over anyway by the time of the Illearth War. There are several accounts of such bodies destroyed beyond all possibility of recovery (eg eaten, obliterated etc). By the end of that war between the battle both in the south and on mission to Seareach, even if the Vow wasn't corrupte...

500 Bloodguard?
500 Bloodguard? That's what Bannor told TC right? "The Bloodguard are 500, the Harucai are more." or something like that. But was it true that IF a Bloodguard's body wasn't taken back to the Westron Mt. then another wouldn't be sent? OK, if that was true, then wouldn't it stand to reason t...

His first death was beautiful and wonderful and meaningful, and now he's just goin to die again, now he's incapable of helping preserve the arch of Time, and now (if we are to believe) the world is going to end! HOW IS THAT A GOOD RESULT? 2 more books, my friend, 2 more books. SRD won't let us down...

True and mostly my remark was tongue in cheek - but there does seem to be some significance to her remark as Stave quotes her. Why? Does he detect some bitterness that smacks of the Haruchai? Stave has learned some of the folly of his people and their tendency toward extremeties in everything - they...

I'm sorry about running you guys and girls around - being new here, I'm still learning my way around. I tried to search it and came up with so many hits... Besides, I thought the number one most asked question would have been why the old lore of the Old Lords wasn't readily understood by the New Lor...

Re: Should Linden Avery be Forgiven?
Linden Avery brought back Thomas Covenant. He didn't seem too happy about it... --A You're right! I kept thinking, "Oh, crap, she just did an Elena." BEsides, TC and Joan will get back together and TC will dump LA. He'll just say, "Thanks for all the great times aboard Starfare's Gem...
