So, again I say, The meat is there for the seeker. I found the issues to be rather exciting and forward looking; with a taste of exotica as well..., as surely intended by the author. After 5 readings, ( I believe...), I still am thrilled by the amazing disconnect Anele places on Linden (AND Linden a...

I agree in many ways with the writer matrixman. The issues so carefully revealed, even from the very first days of Lord Foul's Bane, are a lesson in complexity... And in hope... Thanks for the excellent comments you have added to this strange and inescapeable journey we find ourselves caught in... J...

If I may, I would ask how many see, as I, that the whole series is a massive exercise in ethics? The issue of language doesn't exist, and no attempt was ever made to "fix" the issue of speech and language. What language we do find of note, is demonstrated by the mind boggling vocabulary us...

It is I believe, equal to Fatal, and much is actually surpassing in many areas...

All small and unimportant to me; The writing we experience in all the Chronicles is so often magic and exciting..., and heart tearing as well....; with joy and tears aplenty.... For me the feel of majestic totality is the superior issue, and I am reluctant to complain about loose ends.....Any anomal...

I do post little, 'tis true, But this deserves another..., near the end of the present 14 pages to say: The Runes Of The Earth...is high art; for me the best of the bunch... I regret many are not able to discern this from a few readings. I begin my 5th tonight and never fail to find wonder. Perhaps ...

The Runes.....

Secrets..., right, wordsmiths...? From the German, my fathers language..., but also I read that it may be Norse as well...

I will settle for secrets.....

I confess it... Wet eyes upon reading your ORIGINAL post. Let it ALL GO...Hard to not have wet eyes when contemplating some areas of Donaldson's genius.... Runes is a transcendental work; make no mistake...; and there never was any doubt in my mind the purpose Donaldson intended. The entire Chronicl...

How well spoken,

Damack, in truth...The issue is the wonder in such a character ...we all emulate in our imperfect ways...and hurt eternally for the lose when they are gone....Part of the curious genius of Donaldson...to produce characters of this stature.

I must agree with Damack..., The death of Lena and the broken ankle led him to...his death as well; but it was foiled by the ancient Unfettered One who took his hurts..and his death upon herself, therefore allowing his ultimate victory. It is also for me, one of the most powerful and beautiful secti...

I will always accept the almost spirit quality we feel in Lord Mhoram.

It has nothing to do with his mistakes, and EVERYTHING to do with his charisma .....!

Again, Covenant is that for an obvious reason...because he is Covenant....

I find it quite normal for Linden to use it....it's actually...a...titular thing for all, including the members of the cast...........it is who and ...WHAT...he is...

I see no loss in magic and being,..of, and in ...The Land...

I find the I and II of the last chron. to be most complete and exciting...that simple...Make it complex if you want...but these musings mean little to THE LAND....
