Does size matter?

Maybe I just don't have any imagination, but how exactly did Eremis and/or Gilbert translate a 2-story tall slug from a full length mirror? Was the mirror with the slug especially large to accommodate the creature or did it just squeeze through? If such translations are possible, then why couldn't t...

Those are some interesting points, Zal. Especially in light of what the Haruchai had become in the Last Chronicles.

Linden and Ceer

Yea, I'm another one re-reading the first 6 books to get a better understanding of the Last Chronicles....anyway...sorry if this is a spoiler for anyone, but it deals strictly with events in TOT. The whole scene of Linden supposedly killing Ceer and the reactions of the Haruchai is confusing me. It ...

What's the significance of the title?

It seems that all the books in the first and second chronicles, that the title of each book fits with the plot that is developing in each of the books. So my question is....what is the significance of the title 'The Runes of the Earth'. I don't recall reading anything about 'runes'..... and for that...

Re: Esmer

I'm confused. How did he get the power to overcome white gold (by stopping its use?). The elohim don't seem to have this power and he's not even full elohim. Seems out of character to the series for anything to trump White Gold. Seems to me that it's more like performance anxiety than anything else...

I know I was in Junior High. It was English class. We were always suppose to bring a book to class for personal reading. I had forgotten my book so I just laid my head on the desk. The kid who sat behind me tapped on my back and asked me if I'd like a book to read, because he had an extra one if I'd...

but by the time I'd gotten to the part where Linden secured the Staff of Law in 'Runes', I found myself hooked again. Now, I'm going to go back and re-read the original six books. Vain edit: Please use spoiler code for anything related to Runes and Fatal Revenant :) We have specific forums for them...

Joan Macht Covenant

After reading both ROTE and FR, I've decided to re-read both the first and second chronicles to get a better understanding of the entire series. It didn't take me long to find something quite intriguing after reading only the first couple of chapters of LFB. Did you folks know that Joan's profession...

The whole 'Roger' character kinda confuses me a bit.....I mean what exactly happened to him? What made him such a jerk? I guess we'll all find out as the series progresses, but really....you can't really feel sorry for him simply because of his parents splitting up especially when you consider the i...

I was surprised when I discovered that SRD has put together a third and last chronicles of TC, but it didn't stop me from buying the book and reading it. It had been a number of years...(like 20)...since I'd read the first and second chronicles so I was hesitant to even begin reading it. I'd slogged...

Greetings fellow SRD fans. I just finished reading Fatal Revenant last night. Wow!!! I'd read the original series years ago and I wasn't sure at first if I could get into the series when I started reading Runes of the Earth last week. I remembered that I'd really enjoyed SRD's intense writing style,...
