I can't believe it's been more than 7 years since he died! Also, this is old news too but the dream has died: Cancelled In other news.. This forum is still here! Soo happy. I was only ever an infrequent visitor but nice to have a good old-fashioned forum to visit that hasn't been deserted for Slack ...

Goodbye to Romance - a short story
Hey all, hope it's okay to post this here. I entered a writing competion last year with the below story, there was a 3000 word limit and it had to based in the EVE Online universe (an SF MMORPG). There will therefore perhaps be a few odd references to that cannon but it should read okay with no prio...

I think his RL books, (without the M) are a lot more hit and miss than his Sci-fi (with the M) books. His older RL books are awsome, Crow Road and Whit and Espedair Streeet are all fantastic to read. And personally I'm with some of the othere here in pushing Use of Weapons to the top of the pile for...

 I bitched about last year's local literature festival in the Iain Banks thread, but this year looks good! They've got China Mieville as one of the 'guest directors' and though I'm only only halfway through brochure, there have been a few 8O moments already! Why is there never any science ...

Thanks Vraith, I'd love to get some more singing on there but I'm just not set up for it studio wise.
Plus, when I sing it sounds like this: vaskothepig.com/music/a%20little%20respect.mp3
(Me doing Erasure for a covers album... ouch!)

New Vasko the Pig album for free
vaskothepig.com/images/fbua%20front.jpg "Vasko's fourth release on Fwonk* sees a him take another step towards realising the perfect marriage of noise and melody. Having spent the last two years further honing his wall-of-sound production we are presented with the most well rounded release fro...

New EP - 41mins of druggy chill-out industrial loveliness!
Hi guys and gals, sorry for the slight spamming efforrt but over the last year I've been working with an old idol of mine Dean Garcia. I used to have posters of him on my wall and now I have released some music with him, which is bloody awsome :D So it is that I am imensely proud to present the free...

As for decent screen renditions of Arthur/Robin, the best Robin Hood I've seen remains the 80s series, Robin of Sherwood . Not only is it darker and more mythic than other Robin Hoods, it also refers to places I actually know around Notiinghamshire, demonstrating an attention to detail that's sadly...
Was mainly for the kids I think. It kept me watching all season tbh. The Beeb are desparately trying to recreate the success of the Doctor Who revamp I think... Okay so they are mainly failing (I heard Robin Hood was Crap too) but hey, at least they are trying now. Sci-Fi and fantasy have been no-go...

Kyle XY
So what's the verdict guys and gals? I've been watching it with Mrs Vasko and we've been really enjoying it. Okay so it's basically John Doe meets Dawsons Crack but hey, it kinda works. We've only got the final episode od season 1 to watch left. There seems to be some confusion over season 2... and ...
Just finished the fourth 'film' in the first season and I gotta say that it's actually pretty awesome. Imagine Canada and Germany coming together to make some sci-fi that doesn't need to apeal to a mass audience and you have Lexx. An evil, sexy, organic yet less funnny Dwarf with a bigger budget. Ca...
