Sounds like you've already thought of everything, danlo. I'll have to find some pictures of these places on the web. But I guess you've already bribed the location guy and the local authorities. :D The description of Andelain always reminds me of pictures of Canada or New England (Indian summer). Bu...

I know you weren't really being serious when you mentioned Europe. ;) But on the other hand they shot a couple of Westerns in Spain or former Yugoslavia and the scenery was quite impressive. And then there's Scotland and Ireland and Wales and Southern France and Norway and Iceland. Or what about Afr...

I hope the casting director is going to be female. Isn't it mentioned somewhere that Elena's hair is brown but with honey-coloured streaks or something like that? She's also (at least on her mother's side) a Stonedowner (SP?), so she shouldn't be too tall. I think it's also mentioned that she ...

I've only read the German translation and they didn't translate "Ur". So I just thought it's supposed to be the same "ur" that we use in German. For example: Ur-Großvater means 'Great Gandfather'. Ur-Zeit (ur-time) usually refers to a time when dinosaurs still walked the earth. &...

Torrent: Oh, I totally identified with her. When I first read it when the novels came out, I was very much like her --- not to that extreme, but always felt I was part of the background, etc... Male/female had little to do with the emotional and psychological affinity I felt towards the protagonist...

A question for the guys: If you were attracted to Terisa, who is the protagonist of the book, does that mean you didn't identify with her?

Is that a rule if you read a novel that's told from a woman's point of view?

I'm really curious, so don't be shy! ;)

How about Dougray Scott for Artagel? He was the prince in "Ever After" and looks good with long hair and a sword. And I think he's not too old yet.

Eremis: Tom Cruise Over my dead body! He has zero sex appeal, zero charisma (the stare gets boring after a while), and is also too Hollywood-pretty for Eremis. Apart from the fact that a movie like that is only as strong as its villain. But that makes me think of something else: I can somehow see K...

I just noticed that the German Wikipedia article for SRD says that he is a trained doctor and worked in a 'leprosarium' where he came up with the idea for the chronicles. 8O

I wonder where people get that bs, escpecially when there's a link to the Official HP on the same page. *sigh*
