If you want an intelligent conspiracy novel written by a true giant vof contempory literature - a novel that's mixing fact with fiction, theology, philosophy, history and politics you need to check out Umberto Eco's Foucault’s Pendulum . A true masterpiece Brown could have never achieved - in fact i...

First of all I'm a not a native speaker so if my choice of words is clumsy forgive me. Rusmeister said "[Hell] It IS separation from God - and that is the nature of sin itself." Whereas I strongly object against some of the things he regards as sins (but that's another discussion) I can un...

It's a forum dedicated to Formula 1 racing games/general racing games/lots of off topic banter and we currently have about 21.000 registered users ... f I can make it the...

Over here in Germany we are still stuck with Season 2 DVD-wise - and I am addicted to the series ...

I could order the DVDs in English (no problem for me) but the missus doesn't speak English so we have to wait and hope for German releases ...

I can see why Tom Bombadil is missing (Tolkien himself was not exactly happy about him later as well, as can be read in the Letters ) But it might have been possible to present him in a less ridicolous way than he appears in the novels - outfit wise. What I miss more is the Old Man Willow - a nice f...

My taste is changing, so it's hard to come up with an ultimative top ten. But the books that have fascinated me over the last decades and still haven't lost their magic for me are (in no particular order): • Flann O'Brien - At Swim Two Birds • Flann O'Brien - The Dalkey Archive • Flann O'Brien - The...

Essentially, hell is a state that we put ourselves in, and there are many ways to do this, and they all involve abandoning traditional Christian teaching in one way or another and making the self the center - the individual - me. If abandoning traditional Christian teaching leads to hell, hell itse...

That makes sense. The formula is btu divided by 3414 = kW (or kW multiplied by 3414 = btu). I think this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you.
