Wow. You are getting really good. I can't decide if my favorite is the leafy one on the bottom, or the steampunky one next to it, but I like all of it. Thanks! I'm not sure I like the colorizing of the metal. I mean you spend all this money for silver or bronze then you cover it up. Maybe I just ha...

Ok, so I did the disappearing act. Don't blame it on FB since, unless I am checking out art projects I have it closed. It was me. I have been overwhelmed recently with my new role in this world. Feeling a bit useless and guilty over not working. That and a bunch of medical bullshit kept me away. Mya...

Uss and lorin's most excellent adventure - Part 3
Backing up a little, these pics are from Uss, not me. We (he went to Naples and toured Pompeii. I will let him describe Pompeii. I wish I had gone but needed a day off. Apparently he climbed Mt. Vesuvius and these are pics of the caldera and Naples below. i1164.photobucket.com/albums/q566/lorin1955...

Looks like quite an adventure. I like all the ruins and history and such. This is a BOAT That is quite fabulous. And if it had a longer name, they might need a bigger boat. We are just starting........it was quite an adventure. And that we got along for almost 5 weeks speaks loads for Irish Mike's ...

Yep, Rome first: the Forum, the Colloseum (no pics for some reason) and a place called Terme de Caracalla (which I'd never heard of, old baths seemingly). too busy dodging cars. And maybe if you helped taking some of the pics............ :P You have pics of Naples. I stayed close to the boat. I had...

Uss and lorin's most excellent adventure - Part 2
So the trip continues. I think this is Rome. An interesting city. Really spread out. The drivers are rougher than New York and I got a little overwhelmed. The ruins were really interesting. We did not go to the Vatican because the tourist swarm was huge. There was plenty to see without the Vatican....

I am sorry for the delay but life (reality) gets in the way. Anyway here are some pics, there are hundreds but I wouldn't do that to you. I am not sure of all the places. After a while one cathedral looks like every cathedral but I will do my best. But some things I will never forget. So here we go....

it's already getting better. Mike (Uss) just met up with me in Barcelona. Tomorrow we are seeing Gaudi stuff, apparently a must while here. I also would like to see the ancient roman tunnels they uncovered in the old city. Will tell you more after I see them, if I see them. Meeting some friends on T...

So two days ago some of my old staff called me to tell me my former co-worker and friend Maggie had passed away suddenly. She had retired at the same time I had to leave the job. Maggie was a very simple woman, uncomplicated and easy. She ran recreation for the clients. Her rec room was filled with ...

I am so sorry for you Sarge. I have been thinking about you recently during the Houston floods. I am sorry to hear about your brother. I understand the void with a sibling as the chasm widens every year between my brothers and me (or is it my brothers and I). Deer......you sound like you have had a ...

Saying hi to everyone and apologizing for my absence. Good wishes to all that need or want them. Been a stressful time for me getting my health back but I'm getting there. Thank God for health insurance. I can't imagine people in this country that don't have it, never mind countries in this world th...

grief comes in waves, in between the anger and guilt, and for me.......relief. I keep thinking of when I was a kid and in the ocean. And you saw the wave coming, growing bigger and bigger as it got closer. Then you had to make a decision, ride the oncoming wave, let it crash into you or go under and...

Deer, I hope you and yours are doing ok. It is a subject I have to avoid so I hope you will forgive me and not interpret it as not caring. I feel good today. Got to sit in the sun for a few. Did some writing. Did some glass. Feel like I might actually make it to my 60th birthday. I get Mya aka Helld...

I'm with you Deer. Everybody dies. Most of what we mourn is for ourselves. --A I feel like when I (and if )die I am missing the end of a story. I will never learn how it all ends for earth. Its like shutting the book in the middle. On other subjects I had to send helldog away for a while. She is to...

Still...China Beach has Dana Delaney and I could watch her all day long. China Beach was one of the most under rated shows of the 80's. I own Northern Exposure but they fuck with the music on the dvd's you buy. Some legal issue, and if anyone knows N.E. its 50% about the music. Murphy Brown was als...
