Hi, Landwaster! I'm surprised that you say The Blair Witch Project is much-maligned. I had thought it had been widely acknowledged as a groundbreaking movie. I certainly thought it was a unique piece of filmmaking, and I mean that in the strictest sense of the word: it's one of a kind that cannot be...

Tetris

Ah, yes, Tetris. From Nintendo to the PC, Tetris has been a constant companion through the years. Brilliant in its simplicity, and simply brilliant! Tetris sacred? Hmmm...an unusual adjective to ascribe to a video game, most fair Leper Fairy. But certainly, subtlety does not appear to be a quality t...

I'm afraid I don't know much about Monteverdi, F&F. His style was early baroque, wasn't it? A precursor to Bach? I knew he wrote Orfeo, though I've never heard it. Orfeo was an important work of its time, correct? The first "true" opera or earliest opera?? I'm basically clueless about ...

Apple pie for me, thanks! (Guess I'm just old-fashioned...)

Ur-Vile's Waynhim pie with shredded Wraith indeed conjures up a very disturbing mental picture. The puke factor may go off the scale with this one.

Ah, the one and only Furls Fire. I'm honored to meet one of the veterans of the Watch here. :Hail: Yes, the Millenium Falcon is one of the great space vessels of sci-fi cinema, no question about it. Leia's favorite "bucket of bolts" does seem to have one problem after another; but hey, it'...

J.S. Bach

Whoa...looks like I almost gave our favorite Haruchai a coronary. My feelings about Bach, Beethoven & Bartok are sincere, though, and run pretty deep, so it's cool to see that you fine folks at the Watch also have a place in your heart for the three B's. And what is it about composers whose surn...

SRD color words from TCTC

Hang on, we're not done yet! Let's not forget the first unusual color word that appears in The Chronicles: ocher, on page 4 of Lord Foul's Bane. He caught a glimpse of ocher; the person he had bumped seem to be wearing a dirty, reddish-brown robe. Tsk, tsk...to forget about the old coot who first go...
