Maybe healthcare is one of those things -- like defense and education -- that should be provided to everyone, because it's in the best interests of society. The problem with this idea is that healthcare is open-ended. There is an ever increasing amount of technology, medicine, and expense associate...

So sad. No it's the Stanley Cup I meant! Friday night either Detroit or Pittsburgh clinch it. I'm rooting for the Penguins myself.

I guess I'll vote Phantom Menace. I liked the desert race, I liked the Obi Wan scenes, but everything else sucked. Attack of the Clones was better. Mr. Fett was awesome. The stadium fight was cool. Anakin was tolerable. C3PO absolutely wasn't. But Revenge of the Sith totally absolutely 100% rocked. ...

Late to the debate. First off, Janeway's voice drove me nuts. Also her flirting with Q, and etc. Sisko was cool, but never really acted the captain's role, being on a station and all. Picard was a man of philosophy, virtue, and determination. He didn't get to show his strengths often, but when he di...

Judging by your avatar, I guess you liked the movie MM. I thought it was pretty good myself, with a few caveats. The film production really bugged me with the constant glare of overbright lights coming across the movie. And it seems it was deliberate. But I liked the story. I really liked the acting...

I just wanted a handle to fit the forum topic. Funny how many of these are taken already. As for Percipience, I just liked the word and what it means in the land. I think Donaldson just made it up. He seems to be good at that. Or at least he's good at choosing really cool obscure words to capture ex...

Hello everybody. I'm a fan of the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant, and also of the First and Second Chronicles of Linden Avery the Chosen. Technically those aren't the titles, but you have to admit that's what they're really about anyway. I read Mordant's need, and thought it was cool. Also Read Into ...

I really liked that Unfettered rock student. I think we encounter him somewhere in the 2nd chronicles, but I can't remember where. I believe he took Covenant and company in from a storm and into a cave. His whole lifework really blew me away.

(Welcome to the watch, Percipience. From your name, you sould like a ready recruit for Linden's Army.) Well, I do like her for the most part. Although I must question her raising wild magic to the stars, threatening an entire world with extinction, for um, personal reasons? But don't worry about th...

The hyper realism of the land makes us pause in wonderment. It's all so incredible. But then if you take a step back and look around you. Realize that our world is equally wondrous. Sure in the Land the Sunbane can make a tree grow in a day, but think in our own world. Consider your backyard tree. H...

TC walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender says, I'm sorry sir, we're all out! So TC exclaims, I don't believe it!

Against All

Seeing how Donadson has already abandoned the trilogy concept... if he would just agree to publish in smaller pieces.... we could have Against All already.... and Things Ending could be only a year away.

All in favour??
