Is it really described anywhere what the ethnicity of the characters are? TC could be black or asian or something different altogether. I think that SRD purposely leaves these details ambiguous because he wants us to create the characters by filling in the blank spots, giving a limitless diversity t...

Couldn't 'darkness' refer to the darkness in which the people of the Land were kept about the true nature of the Land?

I just finished re-reading the first and second chronicles and can't, for the life of me, pick a favorite book out of the six. They are all important in their own right. LFB and TWL both set up the next two books, though LFB might be more important that it sets up the next nine...IEW has the most ac...

I've always thought of the wedge as a triangle so as the power flows through from the back it is concentrated, needing more powerful Demondim Spawn to effectively control it and they can add more of their own power to it. To channel that power, they would need some sort of link. I think of it as the...

And they would at least have some idea that Kevin was behind it if they see that he leaves, and then most of the Land essentially dies. Who else but Lord Foul or Kevin would have that kind of power? And if they thought Foul did it, why wouldn't he have done it sooner? And they thought that Foul had ...

As for the 'average' Stonedowners, maybe SRD is pointing out that anybody can do extraordinary things given the right circumstances, values, and the will to help others

It took me a lot longer to read the Second Chronicles because I think that just as I was getting used to the Land and it's wonders, they leave and go to Brathairealm and whatnot. Also, it took me a long time to read and re-read some parts of the battle on the ship because it was really hard to pictu...

Re: > Favorite Funny Scene

I find amusement in this bit : "Amok, knowledge is the way and door of power. The Earthpower answers those who know its name. How great is the power of the Seventh Ward?" "It is the pinnacle of Kevin's Lore," said Amok slyly, as if he were making a subtle joke. :) You know, I sp...

So I finally finished reading all of TCTC books a few weeks ago, I rushed through them though so I'd read them again but a little slower. I never realized all of the stuff that I missed. (maybe some Third Chronicles spoilers, but nothing major) Like the whole seven words deal (never even counted tha...

Yes. And any Haruchai would recognize the valor of fighting Corruption. I don't think the Bloodguard saw Verement as being suicidal; after all, he could have *won* Agreed. You could argue that Verement suffered from despair. But his sacrifice served the war and it served the warward. Perhaps Vereme...
