If I sent any of you a PM in the last week then you will now need to reach me by different means, given that this will be the last time I ever browse to, or log on to, this site. You may take kevinswatch while the people I support take Congress. I leave it up to you figure out which one is actually...

As for the TVU question, I was under the impression that the end of Loki meant the timelines were splintered again and no longer limited to the one grand timeline. Yes, there are now infinite timelines once more--everything which can happen, will happen, at least somewhere. He Who Remains said he d...

I enjoyed it. Wanda was amazing. I didn't know what her role in it was before seeing it, so was nicely surprised. She and her brother spent two days watching a Jerico missile threaten to kill them Then they became radicalized Then they volunteered for Hyrda experiments Then her brother got killed T...

Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi have been good friends since the early 1980s.

I am actually a little surprised that Campbell was not in any of the GotG movies--he would fit in perfectly.

Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

For now this is just a placeholder, giving people a week or two to see it and process it.

This movie doesn't do a whole lot for the character of Batman himself except to make him a little more human and it plays up his apathetic "I don't care if I live or die" attitude somewhat. Catwoman...this Catwoman is straight out of Year One and so the character works perfectly. The Peng...

Yes, so far the show is entertaining and has its quirky appeal. Yes, they also took some liberties with Vigilante, but no one cares as long as they are enjoying the ride. Pretty standard James Gunn goofiness but that's what the appeal is. Other than Waller every now and then, expect no Suicide Squa...

I spent half the first season stuck in "what the actual f is happening?" mode, but then I settled in. Will start Season 2 this weekend.

Eternals....I just couldn't care about any of those characters. Also, some of them are, well, stereotypes--the Indian guy becomes a Bollywood star? *yawn* Also, what kind of a dick makes a 13-year-old who never ages? Since enough spoilers are out and it has been a sufficient amount of time, I can s...

Spiderman: No Way Home

The movie has been out for only a week now--good luck avoiding the spoilers online, including videos I have seen of people getting video captures of the movie on their phone from in the theater (always poor quality video, there)--so I won't discuss any spoilerish things, only general things you cou...

Afterlife was ok. Not much of a story. The little girl stole the show. I didn't know I was going to a movie about a little girl. Ghostbusters is a comedy. This movie is not a comedy. Cameos don't justify the ticket price, imo. I pay only matinee prices for movies--$5. Sure, I have to see the movie ...

Ghostbusters Afterlife

Remember that Ghostbusters movie from a few years ago where are they really did was gender-swap all the characters? I don't either, because I never saw it, but it was a flop and a disaster. Ghostbusters Afterlife, though....this movie is the sequel/reboot/homage that we all needed, wanted, and dese...

Did you see his burnt, broken, and lifeless corpse? No? Then in a movie he isn't dead. We know Blofeld is dead--we can see it happening--and we know Malik is dead, but Bond? Just like Mr. Hinx--we saw him get pulled off the train but we did not see him *die*. Or they'll just reissue the name and nu...

When I first saw the trailers the thought that ran through my mind was "how have they not done an adaptation of this already?".

I really want to watch this one...but not so much that I will get an Apple TV profile. I am glad to hear that the script and acting are high quality.

We have watched all 3 seasons over the last several weeks. Season 1 was pretty good but a little too slow to get the main plot going. Still, there were a lot of characters so it takes time to put them all in motion. Season 2 was okay but...well, Dolores' changes ultimately don't make sense. Also, t...

It really all depends upon whether it is a reboot or a continuation at some point in the future when the main cast characters are either dead or retired due to age. An actual reboot--retelling the original storyline--could be really good, giving JMS the chance to "correct" things he wishe...

Oh, yes--the legacy of Syndey Greenstreet.

I don't break noir into subcategories; noir is noir whether it is in the traditional 1940s, 1960s, now, or 2150.

Yes, it was reasonably well-done. It contained all the elements you are supposed find in a film noir--protagonist haunted by his past, the girl next door who may or may not actually be the femme fatale, secrets upon secrets, and brutal henchmen serving a rich bad guy. It isn't often you find a blen...

I have actually seen it twice--once on my own then once with Ms. Lebwohl.

It is still "meh".
