I know this isn't the predictions thread but....So Longwrath loses the Elohims' geas since they're now imprisoned by Jerry. Now he has a badass sword that can kill sandgorgons...that's one enemy of the land that'll be handled. Maybe we'll see the giants break off into a third party for that reason.....

Predictions for the last installment

[Mod note: topic merged] Is it too soon for this? Or is there another thread where this is discussed? If not, i'd just like to put it out there and say that Jeremiah will stop the worm at the beginning of the next book (with a construct as described by the Harrow earlier in Andelain). The rest of th...

I think it's important to remember that Lord Foul put his "mark" on Jeremiah when he was a young boy. That being said, the necessity of freedom should probably dictate that Jeremiah made the decision (albeit indirectly, and likely through the influence of his birth mother) to serve Foul co...

I can tell you I was waaaay off on my prediction. I figured that the end of the earth would pretty much be instantaneous and that the story would be told in the setting of the "real" world. I thought that all the characters and situations might be metaphorically introduced there. Guess I'l...

Yeah, poor Liand. I liked him myself...kind of innocent and naive, which exuses his apparent worship of LA. I was under the impression, too, that he was destined for greater things at the end of the story...like being integral to the healing of Kevin's dirt, or something. That being said, how IS the...

Could be we're going to see another new character...but I'm leaning toward Longwrath. Still, why would Longwrath even get the Lurker's attention? I am under the impression that giants could always traverse Lifeswallower without getting it's attention...that was stated earlier in the series...I think.

Great! Only a year or so to go then! Can't they just release it as is? I'm willing to pay double!

Possibilities I haven't seen here yet: 1) Infelice is simply lying, in order to get LA to give up her power or something. 2) Brinn or whoever is the One Tree Guardian will pop up with some timely advice and assistance. Sort of like the MS Office paperclip. 3) This will be the service The Harrow was...

Of course, when LA DID wake up the worm in FR (that's what happened, right?) Infelice never said that the world would be destroyed, she only said that every Elohim would be consumed. I would assume that if the world were coming to an end, she would have referenced that rather than only the doom of t...

I think you guys are being a little harsh on King. I'm not a King apologist, but many of his works are so ingrained in our psyches that we don't even realize it. Stand By Me and The Green Mile spring to mind. And if you've ever read Cujo, you'll never look at a St. Bernard the same way. The Shining,...

email from Matthew Venzon

Hey guys. For what it's worth (not much), I thought I'd share an email I got in response to my inquiry on the status of AATE. I'll just copy and paste it: Unfortunately, I don't have any concrete information for you. I can tell you with certainty that it won't be published before August 2010, just b...

I see the Land being destroyed, followed by LA waking up in triage in the "real" world. She miraculously survives and begins plodding through her life wracked with guilt for having destroyed the Land. Eventually characters begin to enter her life that parody those of the Land, and then the...

'nother noob

Hi, Just registered because I found the discussions insightful as well as entertaining. Am anxiously waiting word of AATE and spent a good hour going over the posts in that forum. Big SRD fan and have also read the Gap series as well as The Mirror of Her Dreams, etc. I hope to contribute as much as ...
