I concur with both of you, Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z are excellent. The oral history style of World War Z especially; makes a good audio-book (despite some horrendous chinese accents). Just having finished The Zombie Survival Guide, and World War Z, something like that would be great How...

While wandering through lower regions of the asteroid, Praetus encounters a strange dungeon. Within, three men dance to electronic and repulsive music. One is blue, and has a yellow skull head; the other is covered in orange fur and has a bestial face; while the last is a human in a long blue coat,...

This is extremely good news for me. This means that Del Toro can hopefully put in more time towards the film version of H.P Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness , which I think could be very good. However, a quick glance at wikipedia reveals he's still got a lot on his plate, even without the Hob...

Wow they actually went ahead and imposed the curfew on a city of 10 million!? Not just a 20 block section...the whole CITY OF BANGKOK. There was mass outcry about the possibility of that from ordinary thais...imagine the revenue lost by the tens of thousands of nightstalls, night club owners, bars, ...

Looks like the government followed through with their hardline stance, rolling through with armoured vehicles and killing more. They have managed to get the protest leaders to surrender, but it looks like more protests have sprung up in thailand. Riots erupt after Thai protest leaders surrender. Rio...

Yes, that is exactly what i'm saying, I mentioned shotguns and rubber buckshot in a previous post, it is clear from news footage the Thai authorities are using shotguns with rubber slugs/buckshot. What I was thinking is perhaps these are police stocks or the army doesn't have enough of these weapons...

One of my Thai friends posted a link to this open letter, which condemns CNN coverage of the event as pro-Redshirt and contains a number of links and resources. CNN's biased reports appear to be a good example of media coverage turning against the government because of the killings. An open letter t...

Though someone could certainly make a case for the government defending itself against violent terrorists. Any opinions are welcome. Indeed, they might. As far as we know, these Red shirts do not have any proof that elections were fraudulent and seem more intent on enforcing their idea of how thing...

Absolutely agree that the level of government response is outrageous. I don't care if you don't have enough rubber bullets. (You don't need specialised weapons to fire them.) Actually, you do...if your arsenal comprises mainly 5.56mm assault rifles (standard NATO round) like the Thai army. There is...

^Add rubber bullets to the above list. While I was shocked at the use of rubber bullets initially, they're certainly a damn sight better than live ammo. It looks like the thai authorities may only have specialised rubber shotgun rounds however, and perhaps not enough of these weapons/rounds (and oth...

The situation in Thailand.
Watch video and read recent story here: news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/8686272.stm Anti-government protesters in Bangkok have defied orders to leave their fortified camp in the Thai capital. The protesters - many of them women - continued to clap and cheer speakers on stage in the centre of their ...

Have been on tour with House of Capricorn this last weekend, and Type O has been on high rotation (it always is, to be honest) in tribute. Needless to say we are all massive fans and the singalongs have been in full effect. Gutted living in the corner of the world that I never got to see them live. ...
