I imagine Amatin as a grown up flower child. Probably because she loves the trees of Revelwood so much. Haha, that's an interesting image. IIRC, she *is* either Woodhelvinnen or better part Woodhelvinnen by heritage--hence she got stuck keeping the communication rod at the beginning of TPTP, poor g...

Poor Amatin looks rather depressed. I'd always pictured her as more the "deep in thought" sort--with maybe an inksmudge somewhere and a quill in her hand perhaps, from all that studying. Still, it's neat to get a glimpse of her. IMHO she was pretty awesome.

Well said, Malik. To my understanding, there must be Free Will in the lands, and in fact it was very important that it exist. The Creator had to be extremely careful not to manipulate Covenant lest Coventant become his tool and break the Arch of Time. And Mhoram lets Covenant go because he sees that...

Thanks, Loremaster! I feel rich. (*Runs off to store*) I've been re-reading the Chronicles, oh, ten years or so after the first time. I'm finding that there's' a lot more I can appreciate now (not that they weren't awesome then) and lo, when I went looking for Chronicle-related stuff on the Web, Goo...

I sort of agree with Earthfiend. I've just re-read the first Chronicles, and it really DID give the strong impression that the Land has a genuine life of its own when SRD follows Mhoram's thoughts in TPTP for a fair while before the (failed) attempt to summon Covenant is even made. And Mhoram's arc ...
